Sonic Rumble, SEGA’s multiplayer party game to launch globally this Spring 2025

SEGA’s fun, Sonic Rumble party game, initially planned for release in Winter 2024, has been pushed back to Spring 2025. Pre-registration for this highly anticipated title was made available on Android and iOS devices towards the end of 2024.

Sonic Rumble brings plenty of game modes for fans to enjoy

Sonic Rumble marks the debut of a multiplayer party game within the Sonic franchise, accommodating as many as 32 players to engage in lively and turbulent survival matches. This exciting project is being co-developed with Rovio, famous for creating the widely acclaimed Angry Birds series.

In this game, you have the option to play on your own or assemble a team of four to challenge other players. The setting is a vibrant toy world designed by none other than Dr. Eggman, complete with intricate obstacle courses and arenas. To enhance the enjoyment, the game offers upbeat music, including memorable Sonic melodies.

Initially known as “Sonic Toys Party,” the game is now called Sonic Rumble and belongs to the popular Sonic the Hedgehog series. SEGA has disclosed that the game will be released during Winter 2024, according to their roadmap. Previously, a Closed Beta for the game was held in the United States.

This game presents several play modes: Run (a race to reach the end), Survival (fighting to maintain your place in the game), and Ring Battle (collecting as many rings as you can). You’ll have the option to select popular Sonic characters such as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and Dr. Eggman. If you’re a fan of this series, I can’t imagine why you’d want to skip over this game.

New features will be added before Sonic Rumble’s launch

According to the creators, fresh play modes will be introduced at launch. The game Quick Rumble offers a swift, one-round contest for rapid gaming experience. The new mode called Rival Rank brings a competitive setting where you can showcase your abilities and acquire additional incentives.

1) In addition, the latest Crews function allows you to collaborate with others to tackle tasks and earn additional rewards. The registration drive is already active, offering a starting reward of 5,000 Rings at the first milestone of 200,000 pre-registrations.

Extra milestones offer additional perks such as a “Cheerful” sticker, the “Crystal Chao companion”, the “Gemstone-textured Garnet Knuckles character”, and the “Film Version” Sonic “character skin”.
