Sonic Rumble Rings Guide and how to get them

Sonic Rumble is a new multiplayer game from SEGA and Rovio. It uses different types of in-game money, with Rings and Red Star Rings being the most valuable. While Red Star Rings can be purchased with real money, this guide will show you how to earn both Rings and Red Star Rings without spending any!

How to get Rings in Sonic Rumble

Both Rings and Red Star Rings are useful in the game for things like unlocking characters and their outfits, among other benefits.

Rings are available for free, but Red Star Rings usually cost money. If you prefer not to spend any money, I’ll show you how to get both types of Rings completely free.

1. Events and Special Missions

You can earn Rings and Red Star Rings by participating in events and completing special missions. The game regularly features exclusive events that offer these currencies, as well as other valuable rewards.

Participate in events like the Sonic 3 Crossover and Season’s Greetings 2025 to earn rewards like Rings, Icons, and Effects through Missions and the Event Pass. You can also complete Milestone Missions to collect 300 Red Star Rings.

2. Emblem Rank Rewards

You can also earn rewards by increasing your Emblem Rank. Collect Emblems and Emblem Fragments – which you get from battles – to raise your rank and unlock items like Rings and Red Star Rings.

3. Achievements

You can also collect Red Star Rings by completing Achievements. For example, logging in daily will reward you with 5 Rings each time, and finishing in the top 3 of Ring Survival Mode 25 times will give you 10 Rings.

4. Dr. Eggman’s Challanege

Also, be sure to finish Dr. Eggman’s Challenge to earn 7000 Rings and 1 piece of the Sea Captain Sonic character. This challenge comes back around regularly, so you’ll have another chance if you miss it.

5. Gameplay

The simplest way to earn Rings is just to play the game regularly. You receive a large number of Rings after each match, depending on your final position and how many you gathered during the levels. By playing consistently, you can quickly build up your Ring collection.

6. Ads

Okay, so ads can be annoying, I get it. But honestly, they’re kinda helpful when you’re trying to grind for stuff in the game. After each match, I can choose to watch an ad and get some extra Rings, which is a nice little bonus.
