Song for the Mute Reimagines the 1964 adidas Tokyo Silhouette in New Collaboration

Here’s a quick rundown of the new release: The Song for the Mute x adidas Originals Tokyo collection is launching on May 8th. You’ll be able to purchase it directly from Song for the Mute and adidas. The price hasn’t been announced yet (TBC).

The SFTM-008 Tokyo is part of the Song for the Mute x adidas “007” collection, alongside the SFTM-009. It’s a beautifully textured update to a classic track runner first seen at the 1964 Olympics.

The shoe features a sleek, low-cut design that combines classic style with modern details. It’s available in three colors: Bluebird, Off-White, and Black. Each version uses a mix of materials and has a worn-in, vintage feel, paying homage to the original design while still feeling current and fashionable.

The shoes come in different materials to reflect the seasons. The “Bluebird” and “Off-White” versions are made with a textured nylon, while the “Black” version uses a breathable, wide-knit mesh for a relaxed, summery look. Corduroy and suede accents on the toe and laces add a touch of elegance and contrast with the main fabric.

The shoes feature subtle branding with co-branded logos on the tongue and inside, and the classic Adidas Three Stripes are made from a contrasting suede on the sides. The SFTM-008 Tokyo model will be available worldwide on May 15, 2026, after an exclusive release through Song for the Mute on May 8.
