This comedic series focuses on the ups and downs experienced by the Dunphy-Pritchett-Tucker clan over time, as they watch their children mature, witness shifts in marriages, and share numerous unforgettable family moments.
“Modern Family” was particularly notable for its innovative portrayal of a gay couple adopting children, as well as the larger, multigenerational family dynamic. Furthermore, it played a significant role in boosting the popularity of the mockumentary format.
In more casual terms, even though Modern Family‘s golden era seems to be over, both its stars and fans continue to cherish their memories from the show. During a recent interview about her new crime drama docuseries Griselda, Sofía Vergara reminisced fondly about her time with the cast and shared some of her favorite moments on set. When Asked What Her Favorite Modern Family Episode Is, Vergara Talked About Filming It
In a chat on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’, Vergara shared some heartfelt remarks about her past colleagues from ‘Modern Family’. When prompted to reveal something unknown about the person displayed to her, she spoke warmly about the cast of ‘Modern Family’. Notably, she referred to Ed O’Neill as her “life’s love”, and described Julie Bowen, who portrays Jay’s daughter Claire, as her “sister”. Furthermore, when asked about her favorite episode, Vergara delved more into the shooting experience rather than the episode itself.
In Modern Family, Halloween episodes are common, but the one from the second season is particularly memorable for Vergara. During this episode, Claire was struggling to get everyone involved in running her haunted house, but they all had their own side stories going on. On the Dunphys’ side, Jay appeared as a gargoyle and Gloria was a witch. This episode stood out for Vergara because they had trouble shooting it due to constant laughter over O’Neill’s gargoyle costume.
