Sofia Vergara cancels Emmys appearance after being rushed to ER with ‘craziest eye allergy’

Sofía Vergara had to go to the emergency room on Sunday with a problem with her eye, causing her to miss presenting at the Emmy Awards.

AGT judge and social media star Heidi Klum, 53, shared on Instagram that she had to miss the Emmys due to a sudden and severe allergic reaction in her eye. She apologized for having to cancel her appearance, explaining it happened right before she was leaving for the event.

Sofía shared footage of her despairing while reclining on a hospital bed.

Vergara also posted a clip of her seeking relief by using the specialized eye-rinse faucet.

Terry Crews, a fellow judge on America’s Got Talent, sent his best wishes to the five-time Emmy nominee, saying ‘Oh no! Get well soon!’

Snoop Dogg shared a praying hands emoji, and supermodel Linda Evangelista commented that it’s unusual to have an allergy in just one eye, suggesting a visit to a dermatologist could help.

DJ Diplo posted worried emojis and heart emojis and wrote: ‘Oh no.’

And Armie Hammer’s ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers wrote: ‘All the healing vibes. Love you.’

Sofía wasn’t the only person who couldn’t attend the CBS/Paramount+ event at LA’s Peacock Theater. Actor Eric Dane, known for his role in Euphoria, was also unable to appear as scheduled due to his battle with ALS.

This Tuesday, Vergara’s son, Manolo Gonzalez, turns 34. He started his birthday celebrations on Sunday with a dinner at Petit Trois, a French restaurant in Los Angeles.
