As a dedicated royal fan with over two decades of following the royal family under my belt, I must say that seeing Princess Catherine out and about with her family was a breath of fresh air. After her brave battle with cancer this year, it’s heartwarming to see her back in the public eye, even if she is bundled up for the cooler climes of Scotland during their summer break.

On August 25th, social media buzzed with anticipation as photos emerged of the royal family attending Sunday service during their summer vacation in Scotland. The fervor stemmed from the rare appearance of Princess Catherine alongside the family, one of only a handful of sightings since her cancer diagnosis earlier in the year.

However, while people might be happy to see the Princess of Wales out in public with the family, there were still some questions about what she was seen wearing. According to Hello Magazine, it seems like fans were curious about the “wintery attire” she was seen wearing in the car.

Among the social media posts were queries about the UK’s weather, someone else noting that they themselves are in a summer location which made them feel warmer still, and further discussions on whether or not it was as cold as depicted. Given the region where the family is vacationing during summer, it’s entirely logical that Princess Catherine would be seen wrapped up.

Princess Catherine was bundled up for her latest public outing

Normally, the royal family resides in London during this season, with temperatures typically around 73 degrees Fahrenheit. However, that’s not always the case now. In contrast, Scotland experienced a high of only 60 degrees Fahrenheit and a low of about 43 degrees Fahrenheit on the same day.

Given Princess Catherine’s health-related concerns and the chilly temperatures, it’s entirely understandable that the Princess of Wales opted for warmer clothing. Interestingly, even Queen Camilla was seen sporting a stylish green coat under similar weather conditions.
