In the days following Donald Trump’s election win, instead of keeping her pledge to steer clear of the internet, Abby Chatfield frequently expressed her disapproval on social media platforms, repeatedly criticizing the incoming president.

On Thursday, the 29-year-old television personality – who had announced her intention to step away from social media after expressing disappointment over the recent Republican win – instead used Instagram as a platform to express her disapproval of Donald Trump’s political policies.

Abbie posted a photo of her weeping and captioned it, words: ‘Seriously, just been sobbing.’

Afterward, she vowed to be vocal in opposing anyone who unfairly targets women: “If you thought I was against men previously, you haven’t seen anything yet.

“It’s unacceptable for men to openly express sexism. I prefer not to listen to people suggesting that women are exaggerating about the level of prejudice they face in the world.

During this time, numerous well-known Australians expressed their displeasure on social media after Donald Trump won against Kamala Harris in the 2024 U.S. Election.

Podcaster Laura Byrne publicly voiced her candid opinions about Donald Trump’s surprising election win in a recent posting.

‘Let me get this right, we would rather a convicted felon than a woman. F**k me.’

Darren Hayes, a member of the band Savage Garden, added his voice to the mix, posting a fiery message on Instagram, asking his followers who support Donald Trump to unfollow him instead.

Darren posted shockingly, “If you supported him, it’s impossible for us to remain friends. I knew he would strip away my rights, as well as the rights of all women.

On the contrary, numerous Australian celebrities expressed joy over the win, with reality TV personality Dean Wells expressing his excitement on social media platforms.

Following his win, Dean posted an image on his Instagram story where he’s smiling while donning a vibrant red “Make America Great Again” hat, symbolizing the MAGA movement.

Dean also wore a pair of blue reflective wraparound sunglasses. 

Dean labeled the photo with, “And we’re back again,” expressing his excitement over Donald Trump’s anticipated return to the White House following his loss to Joe Biden in 2020.

Disgraced celebrity chef Pete Evans was also celebrating, and took to social media to gloat.

Previously known as a judge on My Kitchen Rules, a man aged 51, decided to post a picture of himself without a shirt on Instagram to express his joy following Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. election.

Evans showed off his silvering chest hair, relaxing with a G&T and a cigar, both hands adorned with Donald Trump’s signature “Make America Great Again” cap.

‘Another cracker of a day,’ he captioned the post, alongside three orange heart emojis. 

Elsewhere, radio king Kyle Sandilands told his co-star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson that he thought Harris was a ‘loser’ and she needed to graciously accept defeat. 

Many Australian celebrities and political commentators, such as Waleed Aly from The Project, were taken aback by Donald Trump’s unexpected triumph, as they had supported Kamala Harris to emerge victorious instead.
