So Happy Together is a captivating thriller by Olivia Worley

One aspect of myself that I take great pride in is my love for romance novels. However, occasionally, a book will surprise me. This very thing happened when I stumbled upon “So Happy Together” by Olivia Worley.

Although romance novels make up the majority of my reading list, I never pass up on mysteries and thrillers. It could be because they offer contrasting themes but still manage to evoke similar responses…it’s a mystery! Regardless, this book captured my attention right away.

The intriguing title and cover design certainly pique my curiosity, but if you need further persuasion, consider that it shares similarities with the acclaimed novels “You” and “Promising Young Woman”. It seems this could be just the engaging read I’ve been looking for.

To start off, I’d like to express my gratitude to Minotaur Books, who kindly sent me an advance reader copy (ARC) of this book. This allowed me the opportunity to read and share my thoughts with you. Though it was an unexpected read for June, it has left a lasting impression on me that I still find myself contemplating frequently.

So Happy For You is an utterly insane story in the best way.

The story unfolds much like a typical romance, with a boy and a girl finding affection for each other, only to live contentedly until the end. However, in this case, things don’t go as planned for Jane when Colin unexpectedly ends their relationship. Instead of giving up on her true love, Jane determines to take charge and make things right.

In the course of events in this novel, Jane develops an unusual infatuation with Colin’s girlfriend, Zoe, after following him excessively. What makes the situation stranger is that they quickly form a close friendship. This peculiar dynamic adds an intriguing layer to the story, and as the plot unfolds, the tension between them escalates significantly. As Jane and Zoe delve deeper into Colin’s life, the boundaries start to fade, and their discoveries only serve to further complicate matters.

In my opinion, “So Happy Together” is more than just a book; it’s an exhilarating journey that closely resembles a rollercoaster ride. It’s packed with suspense, intrigue, and some truly unsettling scenes that will leave you on the edge of your seat. The climax, in particular, was so gripping and cinematic that I can understand why this book might provoke strong reactions from readers.

The story’s length may appeal to some readers, while others might prefer a shorter tale. Regardless, Olivia Worley skillfully maintains suspense throughout, keeping me engrossed during the final quarter of the book. I found myself unable to put it down and each revelation was more mind-blowing than the last. If you have even a hint of curiosity about this book, I’d strongly recommend giving it a read.

Reading ‘So Happy Together’ would be ideal for a relaxing beach time or a long flight, as its engaging plot makes it hard to put down. Regardless if you’re familiar with Olivia Worley’s work or not, this novel will leave you questioning yourself and the story unfolding in the book.

So Happy Together by Olivia Worley is out now where books are sold.
