Snowpiercer Season 4 premiere brings us a shocking death in New Eden

As a devoted fan of Snowpiercer, I couldn’t contain my excitement as I sat down to watch the highly-anticipated Season 4 premiere. The wait was worth it, and what a rollercoaster ride it was!

The first episode of Snowpiercer‘s fourth season is now out. Buckle up for an exhilarating journey, one that was definitely worth the anticipation.

Caution: We’re delving into spoilers for the Snowpiercer Season 4 premiere in this post.

The episode began with events unfolding swiftly following the missile explosion at the end of Season 3. Melanie ordered Till and Ben to investigate, but they discovered it was a trap instead. It turns out there are other survivors, posing a threat to all on Snowpiercer and New Eden.

Nearly the entire episode takes place nine months after the events in New Eden. During this time, we learn that Layton has relinquished his leadership role, and the community has elected Ruth as their new guide. I must admit, this is an excellent selection. Ruth has consistently shown maturity and fairness, qualities that were not so evident among the initial loyalty to Wilford during the first season.

A threat to New Eden in Snowpiercer Season 4

A year has passed, and now it’s time for the train on Snowpiercer to make contact with those outside again. New Eden wants to reassure the passengers that they are still alive and thriving.

As a gamer, I’ve encountered some challenges that are making my progress tougher than anticipated. It seems someone is deliberately damaging the relays to hinder transmission and make it impossible for me to move forward. Building the bridge back up again proved to be more difficult than I had imagined. To add to the predicament, there doesn’t appear to be enough room for all the players in this game world, which complicates matters even further.

Additionally, things take a turn for the worse as there’s a looming danger. Oz, who has been residing in the mountains in isolation, shares with Zarah that he keeps hearing the name LJ. However, she informs him that everyone on Snowpiercer is no longer alive.

Audrey unexpectedly appears in one of the supply trains after Melanie’s long survival journey on Snowpiercer. Her skin condition is altered, and she’s currently unconscious, concealing the cause of her predicament. The group must uncover the reason behind Audrey’s transformation, but there’s a more pressing matter for Layton to attend to.

Dr. Headwood proves she can’t be trusted

if you shared the concern that bringing Dr. Hedwood to New Eden might be a mistake, your apprehension was validated. Indeed, events confirmed that it was an unwise decision.

While Zarah goes up the mountain to visit Oz, Roche stays behind to take care of baby Liana. Suddenly, Dr. Headwood enters the room, accompanied by an unfamiliar person. This mysterious figure then unexpectedly strikes Roche on the head, causing him to lose consciousness.

While climbing the mountain with Headwood and Liana, they unexpectedly encounter Zarah. A quarrel ensues at the edge of a precipice. The outcome of Boki and Jodie’s discovery below is clear without having to see it. Regrettably, Zarah falls off the cliff but manages to survive long enough to inform Jodie that Headwood and an unfamiliar person had taken Liana.

Layton has learned enough from the residents of New Eden to spark his determination to pursue Headwood. During Zarah’s Tailie funeral, he informs Jodie unequivocally that he will eliminate anyone implicated in the abduction of Liana, no matter the cost.

Who are the people in white?

The stranger accompanying Headwood was revealed to be part of the same circle of individuals that Ben and Till encountered at the beginning of the episode. Let’s go back nine months in time to the train scene, where Ben and Till were being pushed through the train cars by those people.

Clark Gregg, who leads them, describes their team as an international peacekeeping force to those present. Yet, it’s quite ironic given that they deceived the Snowpiercer inhabitants into a trap and currently hold all of them captive. So, what exactly is this group’s true identity?

What a way to start the final season of Snowpiercer!

Snowpiercer Season 4 airs on Sundays at 9/8c on AMC and AMC+.
