Snow White cast: Who’s voicing the seven dwarfs and where do you know them from?

Time to hit the road, time to go! We’re off to the Disney archives now. The latest live-action production from Walt Disney Studios revisits the origins and offers a fresh take on the classic 1937 film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” featuring our lively Snow White character for modern viewers.

In this live-action adaptation, Rachel Zegler plays the lead role of Snow White, with Gal Gadot portraying the wicked Queen, Andrew Burnap joining as Jonathan, a fresh romantic interest, and Ansu Kabia taking on the role of the Huntsman.

In the original 1937 film, Snow White wouldn’t be complete without the seven dwarfs she befriends after being exiled. In the new version, they are now created using CGI, but you may wonder who is providing their voices and recognize them from somewhere else.

Let’s walk you through the ultimate guide to discovering the real people portraying the iconic dwarfs in the latest adaptation of Snow White.

Andrew Barth Feldman as Dopey

In the role of charming narrator, Dopey, Andrew Barth Feldman uses his voice – eventually – for the beloved character who was originally speechless in the original version.

After winning a Jimmy Award for his school’s performance of “Catch Me If You Can“, Feldman later took on the lead role in the Broadway production of “Dear Evan Hansen“.

In simpler terms, Feldman received an award for playing a character in his school play and then played the main character in the Broadway version of another play called “Dear Evan Hansen“.

Apart from possibly remembering him, you may recall him from his appearance as Antoine in “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” or his part in the adult comedy movie “No Hard Feelings,” where he shared the screen with Jennifer Lawrence.

Tituss Burgess as Bashful

In Snow White, Bashful stays true to his character as a shy individual, but Tituss Burgess adds a unique twist to this reserved dwarf character.

Initially, Burgess played the character Sebastian the Crab on stage in the Broadway adaptation of “The Little Mermaid” back in 2007. Later, he repeated this role in the 2016 Hollywood Bowl concert production.

Known primarily for his role as Titus Andromedon in Netflix’s “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” Burgess has earned five Emmy Award nominations due to his humorous portrayal.

Martin Klebba as Grumpy

Grumpy, known for his perpetual crankiness, is another vital character among the dwarves, with Martin Klebba providing his voice.

In his initial television outing on an episode of Charmed, Klebba made his film debut for the first time in Tim Burton’s adaptation of Planet of the Apes.

As a passionate advocate for my fellow dwarfs, I spearhead the Coalition for Dwarf Advocacy nonprofit organization to spread knowledge and understanding about Acromegaloid dysplasia, the specific type of dwarfism I identify with.

Besides his roles as Marty in the Pirates of the Caribbean series and a Dimorphodon in Jurassic World (2015), Klebba has also appeared in earlier versions of Snow White, such as the 2001 television movie Snow White: The Fairest of Them All and the 2012 film Mirror Mirror.

Jeremy Swift as Doc

Leading the seven dwarfs, Jeremy Swift is the voice of the wise Doc in Snow White.

After appearing in films like “Gosford Park” and portraying Mr. Bumble in Roman Polanski’s “Oliver Twist”, a well-known British actor later took on the role of Butler Septimus Spratt in “Downton Abbey”.

He tends to prefer watching British series such as “The Durrells” and “Foyle’s War,” but he’s also gained recognition lately for his Emmy-nominated role as Leslie Higgins in “Ted Lasso.

George Salazar as Happy

Infusing a dash of humor into the occasionally somber story of ‘Snow White’, George Salazar steps into the character of Joyous.

With a wealth of experience on both Broadway and off-Broadway, Salazar took center stage as Grover in “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” and portrayed Seymour Krelborn in the Pasadena Playhouse’s rendition of “Little Shop of Horrors.

Apart from featuring in multiple episodes of “Superstore”, Salazar also secured a regular part as George Conway in the Clinton-focused miniseries, “Impeachment: American Crime Story” on FX.

Playing Happy in Snow White marks Salazar’s feature film debut.

Jason Kravits as Sneezy

We hope Jason Keavits had a tissue handy when he was recording lines for Sneezy in Snow White.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but notice that I’ve seen Jerry Stiller in a variety of roles, from “Everybody Loves Raymond” to the last episode of “Friends”. Interestingly, he seems to be a recurring character in Chuck Lorre productions such as “The Big Bang Theory”.

In terms of his most iconic role, many remember Kravits as ADA Richard Bay from The Practice.

Andy Grotelueschen as Sleepy

To prevent us from dozing off while watching Snow White, Andy Grotelueschen plays the role of Sleepy among the seven dwarfs.

In 2019, Grotelueschen was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Supporting Actor due to his portrayal of Jeff Slater in Tootsie. He has also appeared in minor roles in productions such as Coin Heist and A Complete Unknown.

Previously, Snow White isn’t his first voice acting gig; he had also supplied extra voices for the video game Red Dead Redemption II in the past.
