Snoop Dogg reveals his family has suffered a devastating loss
Snoop Dogg revealed he was reeling from a personal tragedy on Thursday.
53-year-old rap legend posted on Instagram about the passing of their cherished French Bulldog, Juelz, who had been a beloved member of the family for almost 11 years.
Snoop posted a heartwarming video compilation, reminiscing his beloved pet dog, Juelz Broadus, over the years with the caption ‘I miss my sweet pup.’
Over the past ten years, I’ve had the pleasure of becoming not just a pet, but an integral part of my family. My canine companion, Frank the French Bulldog, and I have formed a remarkable bond, complementing each other perfectly. Together, we’ve created a unique dynamic that has enriched our lives in ways words can hardly express.
The little dog, Juelz, entered Snoop’s circle of influence in 2014, after Snoop Dogg (also known as Wiz Khalifa’s friend) received him as a birthday gift when he celebrated his 43rd birthday.
At the BET Awards on Sunday, Dr. Dre assisted in presenting Snoop Dogg with the prestigious Ultimate Icon Award, an accolade that came after a series of successes for him. Notable figures like Mariah Carey and Jamie Foxx were also recognized during this event.

In another post, Snoop wrote, ‘Rip @juelzbroadus 😢 thank wiz for giving him to me 🌹🕊️.’
The rapper and cultural icon has had numerous dogs throughout his lifetime.
Apart from Juelz and Frank, he also had ownership of two Pitbulls, Lil Snoop and Mamba, in addition to numerous other canines and Siamese cats – Miles Davis and Frank Sinatra among them.
However, it’s worth noting that among all his pets, Juelz might have been the most well-known one. For a long time, this adorable dog even had its own Instagram account.
Immediately upon getting the Frenchie, Snoop started sharing all the adorable things he did with numerous fans, capturing each moment on record.
However, it seems that his enthusiasm for the account has waned over the past few years, with the latest update being from June 2021.
In Snoop’s memorial presentation, there were pictures of Juelz dating as far back as when he was still a young pup.
In some pictures, the songwriter, evidently smitten by the cute dog, was accompanied by Wiz as well.

Snoop previously found himself in the news due a scary incident with one of his other dogs.
In January 2022, his other Frenchie Frank left his family devastated when he went missing.
Snoop shared on social media that he was searching for his dog, who went missing near a specific spot in Los Angeles. He had previously posted there.
Several days passed, and the tragedy was avoided when it was disclosed that Frank had been discovered by a local couple who helped arrange his reunion.
As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but feel profoundly thankful to this gracious duo for their kind act in returning my cherished canine companion. Rest assured, tokens of my appreciation are already in motion, en route to express my deepest gratitude.
In more recent times, Snoop Dogg has blended his affection for canines with his bond with Martha Stewart, as they collaborated not just as hosts but also as trainers for several episodes of the Puppy Bowl.
