A surprising rumour is going around about Snoop Dogg and something he’s reportedly asked for before he performs at the AFL Grand Final on Saturday.
The rapper is facing backlash online for recent remarks about same-sex relationships. This has created controversy around his upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance, and many are questioning whether he should still be allowed to perform.
Apparently, the 53-year-old is requesting something very expensive from the event organizers.
Ross Stevenson reported on 3AW’s Rumour File that there’s a small budget problem regarding Snoop Dogg’s performance at Saturday’s Grand Final.
He’s asked for a copy of the Saturday stage to be constructed at Marvel Stadium, allowing him to practice before the main rehearsal at the MCG on Thursday.
‘Which means that the Dogg will be rehearsing at Marvel either today or tomorrow.’

He continued, saying he was pleased the other person was trying to do a good job, but unfortunately, there wasn’t enough money available.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m losing it! They’ve released photos of a stage actually being *built* at Marvel Stadium! And even better, people are saying rehearsals are happening *right now* at the venue! I can’t believe it’s really happening, it feels so surreal! I need to be there!
Snoop Dogg will perform at the Grand Final of the Australian Football League (AFL) at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), which holds 100,000 spectators. Brisbane will try to win the championship again as they play against Geelong on Saturday afternoon.
I’m so excited to hear the news! Apparently, the AFL is planning to bring Snoop Dogg to the Grand Final entertainment, and Fox Sports is reporting they’re offering him a huge $5 million to do it. He’d be following in the footsteps of amazing performers like Katy Perry and Robbie Williams, which is incredible! I can’t wait to see him perform!
The Australian Football League’s choice of Snoop Dogg to perform at the Grand Final has sparked criticism. There are worries he might be booed by the crowd due to past remarks about same-sex relationships and some of the content in his music.
The league faced more backlash over hiring Snoop Dogg, especially after Adelaide player Izak Rankine received a four-game suspension for using a homophobic slur during a game against Collingwood in August.
Critics pointed out that the AFL’s decision to hire Snoop Dogg seemed contradictory, given its strict stance against homophobic behavior.
Snoop Dogg arrived in Melbourne on Tuesday and spent some time at the MCG with Australian Rules Football players Nick and Josh Daicos, where they casually kicked a football around.

The news arrived just one day after Nick heartbreakingly lost the Brownlow Medal. He’d been the clear frontrunner for the prestigious award, but Gold Coast’s Matt Rowell ultimately won.
Football players taught Snoop Dogg how to kick an Australian rules football, then helped him try to kick a goal.
A video on the AFL’s Facebook page shows a rapper, who reportedly has no prior experience playing Australian Rules Football, successfully kicking a goal from about 35 meters away. The ball went directly between the uprights.
The Daicos brothers were impressed by Snoop Dogg’s kicking ability, and the rapper enthusiastically celebrated with a ‘That’s six points, baby!’
