This year, NBC will once again broadcast the Olympics, and you can also stream the events with a Peacock subscription. The Winter Olympics, coming to you from Milano Cortina in February 2026, will feature top athletes and expert analysis—plus, Snoop Dogg will be back to provide his fun and unique commentary! If you enjoyed his hilarious takes during the last two Summer Games, you’ll be happy to hear he’s returning, and his excitement for what’s to come is contagious.
Snoop Dogg shared his humorous take on memorable moments and athletes from the London (2020/’21) and Paris (2024) Olympics, including the famous shirtless flagbearer from Tonga. When asked on the Season 28 finale of The Voice what he was looking forward to most about his next project in Italy, he responded:
I’m really excited to discover new sports I haven’t heard of before. What I find most interesting is learning about all the hard work and dedication athletes put into mastering their craft, and also getting to know the people who support them – their families.
Considering how much Snoop Dogg values family, it’s not surprising he takes the time to speak with the families of athletes when he’s working for NBC.
What I especially enjoy is his eagerness to learn about all kinds of sports. While he’s used to discussing summer sports like gymnastics and breakdancing, he’s also fascinated by newer or less common events like skeleton and ski mountaineering, which is great to see.
I absolutely loved watching Snoop Dogg cover the Olympics! Honestly, it was his honest confusion about things like equestrian events – those ‘horse crip walking’ comments were gold! – that made it so funny, almost as funny as the outtakes from him and Kevin Hart goofing around in the studio. He doesn’t pretend to be an expert on everything, and that’s exactly what makes his commentary so relatable and fun to watch. I’m really looking forward to hearing his take on curling – I bet it’ll be hilarious!
Snoop Dogg is heading to northern Italy, as reported by NBC. He’ll be sharing his take on the area’s culture and famous sights, from the city of Milan to the Dolomite mountains. He’s also teaming up with NBC’s Olympics host, Mike Tirico, to bring back their popular segment, “Snoop’s Greatest Hits,” which was a hit during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Beyond his other projects, Snoop Dogg has been named the first Honorary Coach for Team USA by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. This is a volunteer position where he’ll be supporting and celebrating American athletes outside of their competitions.
NBC pays Coach Snoop well to cover the Olympics, but I suspect being an honorary mentor and connecting with the athletes is just as fulfilling, if not more so.
I’m excited to see Snoop Dogg at the Olympics! It’ll be great to see him involved in any way – maybe carrying the torch, meeting the athletes and their families, or hanging out with celebrities like Christopher Meloni. The Games are almost here, with the Opening Ceremony scheduled for February 6th.
