Before he performs at the Winter Olympics, Snoop Dogg took to the microphone during halftime of Monday night’s NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Clippers at the Intuit Dome.
The Olympics are almost here, and Snoop Dogg had a funny reaction to Warriors coach Steve Kerr running onto the court during the Clippers’ 103-102 win. It was a memorable moment!
Snoop Dogg playfully imitated a wildcat, referencing Steve Kerr’s college days at Arizona. He exclaimed, “Aw, Rawwwr, rawwwr, rawwwr!” mimicking the team’s mascot.
Steve Kerr received two technical fouls within a minute. The first came after a basket by Stephen Curry seemed to be a valid continuation of play following a foul, but the referees disallowed it.
Just under a minute later, Steve Kerr became visibly furious when a clear goaltending call wasn’t made against the Clippers’ John Collins on a shot attempt by Gary Payton II. The coach, who has won four NBA championships, reacted with intense anger, waving his arms and yelling at the referees.
ok.. it was worth having Snoop on the broadcast just to hear him call this Steve Kerr crash out 🤣🤣🤣

Kerr received two technical fouls – his first in almost four years – and was restrained by Payton and his assistant coaches to prevent him from leaving the court and going to the locker room.
Snoop Dogg teamed up with the usual commentators, Reggie Miller and Terry Gannon, for the second half of the broadcast and delivered, matching the energy of Steve Kerr’s playful behavior with his own lively commentary.
Snoop yelled, “Get Steve out of there! Someone help him!”
Miller and Gannon just laughed as Snoop Dogg playfully mentioned the new Intuit Dome and Steve Kerr’s connection to Southern California, repeatedly shouting, “Steve back in Inglewood! Get him, Steve! You in Inglewood, Steve!”

Television
This article explores the surprising transformation of a rapper once known for his tough image into a popular, family-friendly personality now hosting NBC’s Olympic broadcasts.
Snoop Dogg will team up with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico in Italy this February to offer his unique commentary on the Winter Games, just as he did during the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. His recent appearance at an NBA game showed he’s ready for the role.
NBC Sports is thrilled to have Snoop Dogg join their NBA coverage, bringing his signature style and enthusiasm to the broadcasts. According to executive producer Sam Flood, viewers can expect a uniquely entertaining experience as Snoop, along with Reggie Miller and Terry Crews, share their insights and have some fun discussing basketball.

Clippers
Kawhi Leonard kept his comments brief at the Clippers’ media day, but he did address recent claims. He stated that his sponsorship with Aspiration wasn’t created as a way to get around the team’s salary cap rules.
Snoop said he’s always dreamed of being an NBA game broadcaster and is excited to offer a unique perspective to the commentary.
After the game, Brian Forte admitted the referees should have called goaltending on Collins. Curry also mentioned to reporters that he admired his coach’s enthusiasm.
Curry explained that a couple of quick, impactful calls can really shift how a game is played, but don’t necessarily decide the outcome. He was glad to see Coach Kerr get energized and speak up, saying someone needed to do it.
Returning to Los Angeles brings up difficult memories for Kerr, as the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfire last year destroyed the house where he grew up. His family had purchased the home in 1969, and his 90-year-old mother, Ann Kerr, was living there at the time. Thankfully, she was able to evacuate safely.
