Snoop Dogg announces new album Missionary produced by Dr. Dre coming in December

As a longtime fan and admirer of Snoop Dogg’s illustrious career, I can confidently say that this upcoming album, Missionary, produced by Dr. Dre, is an event I have eagerly anticipated for years. Having witnessed Snoop’s growth from his early days on Death Row Records to his current status as a hip-hop legend, it’s truly remarkable to see him return to the label he helped shape.

Snoop Dogg has confirmed that his album Missionary, produced by Dr. Dre, will arrive in December.

Fans of the 53-year-old rapper have eagerly awaited it for years, but mark your calendars: the highly anticipated new album is set to drop on December 13th.

It comes nearly three years after Snoop, born Calvin Broadus Jr., acquired Death Row Records.

In August, Dre, aged 59, shared with ET about his latest venture: “This time around, I believe my lyrics and music will exhibit a higher level of maturity. I genuinely feel that this is among the finest work I’ve produced throughout my career.

Initially, he hinted at a release in November, explaining, “I aimed for 14 tracks, but Snoop prefers 16, so we’re working through that difference” [fist-bump gesture].

I’ve reached track 11 in terms of mixing, and I need to complete and submit it by September 1st for a potential release in November.

The artist known for “Drop It Like It’s Hot” is set to release new music, following up from his first album on the reinstated iconic record label in February 2022, titled BODR.

Dre, full nameĀ Andre Young, and Broadus last released a full-length album together in 1993.

The subsequent album is thought to pay tribute to the provocative set of tracks, known as Doggystyle.

On the All The Smoke podcast in January, a collaborator of Pharrell’s mentioned that they were currently working together with Dr. Dre in the studio. He pointed out that Dr. Dre is known for being meticulous about his work.

When you learn about what I possess and the manner in which he inspired me to rap, it’s as if I’ve matured into a seasoned Snoop Dogg. This development was significant for him, he stated.

The renowned celebrity articulated, “‘He chooses his lyrics in a unique manner, and he manipulates my voice in an intriguing way. This individual utilized me as if I were a mechanical performer, and I appreciate it because I enjoy being crafted. I relish being pushed to my limits.’

Two years back, that legendary artist reached out to me directly, saying something like, “Dude, I’ve got this album in the works.

He jokingly commented, ‘He said, “Hey, come over, let’s do a few songs together.” So I went over, and he said, “Let me work on your album.” And I replied, “Alright, let’s get started.” We began recording, and he asked for more time saying, “I need two more days.” I received that request approximately 85 times. This guy always needed two more days.’
