Bowen Yang will return to Saturday Night Live amid a mass exodus from cast members.

The 34-year-old actor was given words of support by SNL’s creator, Lorne Michaels. In a private conversation, he expressed that there’s more the actor has yet to accomplish, saying, “There’s still more for you to achieve.

During a chat, he admitted that he had been uncertain about his role on the long-standing late-night comedy series before.

He shared with the publication that he usually follows his gut feeling: “Am I still busy with something?” And it seems to him that there is still work to be done.

Bowen reiterated, ‘Even Lorne and I talked about it, and Lorne was like, “You have more to do.”‘

however, prior to sharing his sage advice, the comedian expressed concern that viewers might be growing weary of his frequent appearances on the program.

As a devotee, I can’t help but confess: I voiced my concerns, “I thought perhaps the audience might be growing weary of me.” But he reassured me with an emphatic, “Far from it! There’s still more for you to achieve. I need you!

Initially, the actor from “The Bros” joined Saturday Night Live (SNL) as a writer during its 44th season. Now, he has expressed his intention to continue upholding Lorne’s vision for the show.

He modestly acknowledged that the man and the show have significantly impacted his life. Moreover, he deeply cherishes working there, appreciating every member of the team immensely.

His comments come after Ego Nwodim became the latest comedian to announce she’s leaving the show.

Additionally, it’s been announced that Heidi Gardner, Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow, and Emil Wakim will not be part of the lineup for the upcoming season.

According to Bowen, it has been his belief and common knowledge that Saturday Night Live (SNL) serves as a kind of training ground. This suggests that there’s another stage or opportunity to prepare for something beyond SNL.

‘It’s always a transitional place, and I think it is always a launching pad.’

The star commented, ‘Even those who remain on the show, such as Kenan [Thompson], will find that it has opened up opportunities for them. I believe this will be true for everyone not returning. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish next! I’m thrilled about the incoming cast.’
