Smilegate has partnered with Kodansha to create a game based on the popular manga, Dead Account. The game, titled Dead Account: Two Blue Flames, is being developed by IAAN Games and will be a roguelite playable on multiple platforms.

Get to experience the unique supernatural action story even better

As a huge Dead Account fan, I’m so hyped right now! The creators of Seven Knights are actually working on a game called *Dead Account: Two Blue Flames*! And if that wasn’t enough, they just announced that the manga is getting an anime adaptation too, which should be out in 2026. It’s a great time to be a fan!

Dead Account is an action manga created by Shizumu Watanabe, who also made Real Account and A Trick for the Witch. It’s about Soji Enishiro, whose younger sister is killed and becomes a dangerous digital spirit. I especially like how the story combines traditional exorcism with modern digital horror.

Players can look forward to a team-based roguelite, soon playable on both mobile and PC

Details about the game are still scarce, but we know it’s a team-based roguelite where you collect and improve characters. It will also let players on mobile and PC play together. I’m really excited to see how the game manages to capture the feeling of the original manga.

I’m also really excited about this project, just like Smilegate’s Director Oh Byung-jin. He believes the game based on Dead Account will be more than just a way to use the existing story – it’ll be something special. Now, all we can do is wait to see what the developers create.
