As a horror enthusiast with a heart that beats faster for spine-chilling thrills, I can hardly contain my excitement as we approach the weekend showdown between “Smile 2” and “Terrifier 3”. Having lived through countless sleepless nights thanks to these genre masterpieces, I’m eagerly anticipating the adrenaline rush that these two powerhouses are bound to deliver.

In an unexpected turn of events, the low-budget movie “Terrifier 3,” made on a budget of merely $2 million, has turned into a blockbuster sensation, generating a staggering gross revenue of $28.6 million to date. This impressive earnings have dethroned the film “Joker: Folie à Deux” starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga from the number one spot on the US box office chart.

However, the terror portrayed by the clown in this context is challenged by the follow-up of last year’s Smile, as it raked in an impressive $217 million while only costing $17 million to produce.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement! “Smile 2,” featuring the captivating talents of Naomi Scott, Lukas Gage, and Ray Nicholson, is set to debut on October 18. The Wrap, a trusted authority in the film industry, has made an intriguing prediction: This movie could rake in a whopping $22 million during its opening weekend! I can hardly wait!

As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but share my excitement over the chilling original horror movie that cast the incomparable Kevin Bacon and the remarkable Sosie Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick’s daughter, in pivotal roles. In this spine-tingling production, 30-year-old Sosie Bacon masterfully portrayed Rose Carter, a dedicated doctor who bore witness to an agonizing, life-altering event – her patient’s heart-stopping demise.

Afterwards, the doctor starts encountering spooky occurrences herself, such as confrontations with individuals who appear to be smiling insincerely.

Swiftly, she realizes she needs to confront her disturbing past before time expires, or else the malevolent power will take her life.

In a chilling turn of events, David Howard Thornton reprises his role as the ruthless, homicidal clown named Art, who mercilessly slaughters numerous victims in gruesome, unsettling sequences in Terrifier 3.

The film created by Damien Leone, labeled as an unrated gore extravaganza, has garnered a 78% approval from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences have classified it as ‘spicy’ and awarded it an impressive 90% rating on the popcorn scale.

The film earned $18.3 million at the box office according to The Numbers.   

The movie “Joker: Folie à Deux” placed third in its opening weekend, but despite its initial success at the box office, it struggled due to negative criticisms and suffered a massive 82% drop in ticket sales afterward.

Despite screening in over 4,000 theaters nationwide in the U.S., the film managed to earn just $7.055 million.
