I’m absolutely thrilled to share that my beloved Apple TV+ series is back for its fourth season today (September 3), inspired by Mick Herron’s novel “Spook Street.” This gripping espionage saga continues, and this time it’s based on his series of clever capers. The six-episode storyline revolves around a chilling plot involving a suicide bomber in a London shopping center, while the character David Cartwright (Jonathan Pryce) has seen a worsening of his dementia since season three. As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the TV series tends to stick fairly close to the books, but when it comes to our favorite game, the creators have the freedom to make their own moves. They can take creative liberties and go wherever the story takes them

Reeves stated that he would always remain vigilant, as he doesn’t want to become overly complacent or arrogant, for fear of them changing their opinion

I consistently immerse myself in these books, and I must say, Mick’s dialogue is simply outstanding, while the scripts are top-notch as well. Occasionally, I come across a line of Mick’s that didn’t make it into the final version, and I ask Will Smith, the showrunner, if there’s any possibility for inclusion

“I really enjoy that our novels are filled with intricate backstories and details. It’s satisfying to retain these in my memory. It’s rewarding to find elements from the books that aren’t included in the movie scripts, as both what is spoken and what isn’t can be equally fascinating.”
