Slitterhead Gets a Raft of New Details on 'Rarity' Ally Characters and the Kowlong Slums Region

As a hardcore fan of horror games and a long-time follower of Bokeh Game Studio, I must admit that my heart skipped a beat when I heard about Slitterhead, especially with Keiichiro Toyama, the genius behind Silent Hill and Siren series, at the helm. The latest details shared have only fueled my excitement for this upcoming action horror title.

Bokeh Game Studio recently disclosed some fresh insights about their upcoming action horror game, Slitterhead, which is being developed by Keiichiro Toyama, the mastermind behind Silent Hill and Siren series. They have offered a peek at the characters Julee and Alex who are allies, a glimpse of Rarity and Active Skills, and also showcased the game’s location, ‘Kowlong Slums’.

In the role of “Rarities,” Julee and Alex share a profound connection with the main character ‘the Hyoki.’ You’ll first meet Julee, who is one of the Rarities, as you delve into the tale of Slitterhead. She is equipped with a hood and mask, using lethal ‘blood claws’ to fend off any Slitterheads that pose a threat to humanity. As for Alex, he operates covertly as the ‘Hunter,’ hiding his identity beneath a full-face helmet, riding a motorcycle, and armed with a shotgun. During the day, however, Alex uses his surgical skills to work in Kowlong’s underworld.

Each rarity comes with unique abilities that you can trigger by pressing the skill key. These actions may drain your health points (HP) or spirit energy. However, certain skills have the power to restore your HP, and these can be utilized even when inhabiting ordinary humans. For example, Julee boasts a ‘Resuscitate All’ active skill that consistently refills your HP while simultaneously reviving and healing any nearby humans.

In Alex’s ‘Blood Ripper’, a common ability called Blood Field pulls both adversaries and innocents towards its focal point by manipulating gravity with blood. Similar to Siren games, you can perform a technique called Eye-Linking, which allows you to peer into enemies’ perspectives, helping you locate them. The Kowlong Slum, on the other hand, is an area shrouded in neon lights beyond the jurisdiction of law enforcement, a congested network of streets teeming with mystery and disorder.

In the role of Hyoki, you’ll journey to the Kowlong Slums, a place known for its Slitterheads who masquerade as humans. To aid you in your quest, Rarities will act as human allies. Learn more about this upcoming adventure in the trailers below. The game, known as Slitterhead, is set to release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 8th for $49.99.
