Slimline Judy Finnigan, 77, and her husband Richard Madeley, 69, look loved-up as they go arm in arm on walk – after he revealed painful injury

On a walk in north London on Wednesday, Judy Finnigan, known for her slender figure, and her husband Richard Madeley appeared to be deeply in love, holding hands as they walked together.

On a charming date, the married pair strolled through the upscale neighborhood of Hampstead, with Good Morning Britain host Richard, aged 69, demonstrating his chivalry by extending his arm for her, even though he had recently suffered a double wrist fracture.

In a vibrant and well-maintained manner, Judy, aged 77, radiated joy and good health while donning a stylish navy and white striped gown, paired with black footwear.

In more recent times, the ex-host of “This Morning” stepped back from the public eye, and just lately, she disclosed that she shed approximately four pounds (two stones) in 2018 following a health alarm.

Standing beside her, Richard exuded a relaxed vibe wearing a white linen shirt, light-blue denim pants, and plain black footwear.

Recently, during his Good Morning Britain program, Richard revealed details about his recent injury by showing off a cast on his arm, which was concealed beneath his suit.

Right at the start of the show, Susanna said: ‘Richard… you better explain.’

‘I thought you were going to say, ‘Did you have a good break?”, he replied.

The camera then zoomed in on his arm and Susanna pointed out: ‘That looks sore!’ 

Richard affirmed: “Indeed, it’s a double break in my wrist. It happened while I was strolling rather briskly along a sloped sidewalk, in France specifically, on Friday.

‘It was loose and it flipped up. 

‘It flipped me forward and I thought…’Am I going to win or is gravity going to win?’ 

‘Gravity won. I hit the ground hard.

‘I’ve got a double fracture. We’ll see how it goes.’ 

Susanna asked: ‘Is it sore at the moment?’

Richard replied: ‘I’m not discussing the pain threshold. We don’t think about pain.’

After nearly dying from a ruptured stomach ulcer in 2018 and requiring two lifesaving blood transfusions, Judy managed to lose about four and a half kilograms (two stone) and significantly improved her health.

Consequently, friends disclosed that she collaborated with her personal trainer daughter Chloe on adopting healthier lifestyle decisions, enabling her to maintain a healthy weight.

Previously, Judy shared that using ibuprofen resulted in a stomach ulcer for her, which potentially could have caused her to bleed profusely within just 30 minutes without immediate medical attention.

She exclaimed, “I came incredibly close to losing my life. It was an utterly unexpected event that I had never encountered before, and I sincerely hope I won’t have to endure such an ordeal ever again.

As a grateful survivor, I owe my life to the quick-arriving, highly-skilled paramedics and the exceptional emergency care provided at London’s Royal Free Hospital. Two critical, life-saving blood transfusions were also administered to me.

Chloe put Judy on a revised programme of eating and exercising, which saw her drop two stone. 

It’s said that Chloe implemented a diet plan for her mother with smaller portion sizes, frequent meals, and increased exercise.

Last month, the source informed Bella magazine that Judy has had several underlying health issues for quite some time. Losing weight appears to have significantly improved her overall well-being.

Two weeks ago Judy looked incredible as she celebrated her 77th birthday with her family.

For the special event, Judy chose an eye-catching £126 floral dress from Boden, highlighting her recent weight loss.

On her special occasion, she received balloons, blooms, and a cake, as the family joyously marked the event with a picnic in the garden under the warm sunlight.

Chloe titled her post: ‘Wine shared with cherished loved ones. Wishing a very happy birthday to my world’s favorite lady.’

Although she garnered attention for her latest transformation, it was previously reported by TopMob that her daughter, Chloe, mentioned that her mother’s weight loss wasn’t intentional but occurred more organically.

At that moment, Chloe remarked: “As she grows older, her taste preferences are shifting. I believe she has always been more of a fan of hearty meals like meat and vegetables.

I haven’t been involved in it at all.” or “I haven’t had a hand in it.”

As for the second part, “When I opened the fridge upon arriving home over the weekend, I found superfood salads and soups. It took me by surprise; I exclaimed, ‘What on earth is happening here?’

I must admit, I’ve been utterly captivated! Her eating habits have undergone a remarkable transformation. Now, she’s ventured into the realm of sushi and raw fish, and even whole grain salads. It seems she’s shed those extra pounds without any fuss or artificial methods.

Though Judy tends to stay out of the limelight, Richard is frequently seen on the morning show, This Morning.

They initially crossed paths in the ’80s during their time at ITV Granada Television, and eventually got married in 1986 after becoming a couple.

In the same period, Judy was married to journalist David Henshaw, while Richard was going through a divorce with his first wife, Lynda.
