Skye Wheatley recently discussed the growing friction in her relationship with Lachlan Waugh, as they tackle major home improvements on their house in Gold Coast.

In a recent episode of her podcast Skye & Callum, the influencer, who is 31 years old, openly shared about recurring disagreements between herself and Lachlan, discussing the current state of their relationship.

I can’t help but feel exasperated, for I’ve been pestering and pestering, pleading for that long-awaited delivery of my beloved furniture,” Skye confessed.

She added it was not a good time for the planned delivery as the property was not set up for it.

As a passionate devotee, I find myself utterly bewildered! With no ceiling in sight, I’m left scratching my head about where to place these treasured furnishings of mine. They’re neatly packed away in boxes, surrounded by a layer of grime and debris – it’s quite the untidy spectacle! And so, I can’t help but express my exasperation.

‘I’m not getting that f***ing furniture out of the box.’

She then said the process was also hurting their financial well-being.

She mentioned that they needed to secure another loan, as the initial loan was for $800,000 and the second one will amount to $400,000, but even with both loans combined, they won’t have enough to fully complete their project.

It’s essential that we tidy up. Cleaning is a task separate from their work. Workers aren’t compensated for cleaning up after themselves.

For quite some time, Skye has been transparent about the challenges she’s faced during her home renovation endeavor. Last July, she astonished her followers when a heated argument between herself and her partner Lachlan occurred on a workday, resulting in a loud dispute.

The podcast host posted a surprising video on Instagram, featuring Lachlan guiding Skye through the ongoing renovations at their recently purchased property.

To start off, Lachlan presented the project, highlighting the spaces where he planned to install skylights for maximum sunlight.

Lachlan, quite pleased with himself, shared that he had recently purchased the windows and crafted his own room design. Impressed, Skye at first concurred that Lachlan’s ideas were truly remarkable.

Later on, Skye began feeling frustrated about certain aspects of Lachlan’s designs, particularly the inconsistency in placing skylights throughout the rooms. She wondered why he had installed them only in some areas.

In this particular room, a skylight seems unnecessary given the stunning window we already have. It would have been more beneficial to install it in the walk-in closet instead, as Skye expressed her frustration.

Gosh, I can’t believe it wasn’t obvious! The skylights are placed in areas where they aren’t necessary, and there are no skylights where they would actually be useful instead.

Instead, Lachlan strongly disagreed and felt annoyed when he informed his companion that the chosen spots for the skylights were perfect – and argued against adding any in the wardrobe.

Lachlan angrily said, ‘It’s just a dark room. Why are you concerned? Are you afraid that you won’t be able to capture a picture inside?'”
