Skye Wheatley has another procedure done on her eyes – following controversial fox eye surgery: ‘They’re horrible’

On a recent Friday, Skye Wheatley disclosed that she underwent another eye surgery, as a follow-up to the ‘fox eye’ aesthetic operation she experienced last year, which sparked some controversy.

The influencer, aged 31, posted videos on Instagram, informing her followers that this particular procedure required surgery due to medical reasons.

In the videos, Skye was seen with startling red-eyed gaze, and she mentioned that she underwent a procedure to eliminate a bump called pinguecula – a protrusion found on the conjunctiva of the eye.

She shared with her followers that her eyes aren’t doing so great lately, causing her quite a bit of discomfort. It’s been frustrating for her, she added.

It seems to me that the color will persist for a while. I recently had my stitches removed, but unfortunately, I’m not observing any significant change yet.

Skye moved closer to the camera to reveal to her followers just how tired and red her eyes appeared after undergoing the medical procedure.

She mentioned that there’s nothing more disheartening or unattractive than red, tired-looking eyes. Unfortunately, it seems like this condition will persist for at least another fortnight.

Later on, she reassured her audience: ‘It wasn’t a virus. Instead, I underwent pinguecula surgery and had my pingueculas surgically removed.’

As reported by Johns Hopkins Medicine, a pinguecula is a tiny, yellowish bump that forms on the outermost layer (conjunctiva) of the eyeball.

It is a common and benign condition often caused by sun exposure and dry, dusty environments.

Typically, pingueculae are only removed through surgery when they start causing discomfort, interfere with a person’s blinking process, or negatively impact their visual acuity.

After Skye had a somewhat contentious fox-eye enhancement operation, along with multiple other surgeries, in Turkey during October of last year.

Skye also had liposuction, a complimentary temporal lift, and a blepharoplasty.

A temporal lift refers to a procedure where fat from another part of the body is transferred into the face as a long-term alternative to using injectable facial fillers. On the other hand, a blepharoplasty is a surgical operation that targets the eyelids.

Skye commented that her doctor didn’t find much body fat in her arms and legs, so he removed a minimal amount. Looking at her arms now, she appears pleased with the results.

‘Legs don’t look much different, probably swollen.’

On her Instagram Stories, Skye openly disclosed the various cosmetic surgeries she has undergone throughout her life.

She mentioned surgery on her nose, her breasts (twice), arms, inner thigh, and face.

Previously, the influencer shared that she was unable to open her eyes for a period of three days after undergoing the fox eye lift surgery.

‘Being in a foreign hospital with no eyesight was pretty unsettling,’ she said.

‘Why did you get the liposuction if you’re really fit?’ another follower asked Skye.

Skye pointed out that no matter your fitness level, there will always be persistent pockets of body fat.

‘I exercise regularly, but my diet could use some improvement, as I have a strong sweet tooth and tend to overindulge in food.’

‘He wasn’t even going to do it, he said hardly any fat, but I insisted.’

Shortly after announcing her trip to Turkey for surgeries, Skye found herself having to respond to allegations suggesting an excessive reliance on plastic surgery as well.

One follower commented, “I want to make it clear I’m not being critical—but you’re the very embodiment of what contributes to women’s self-confidence struggles.

‘Everyone is going to have self-esteem issues,’ Skye replied.

It’s a pity, for I appreciate the splendor in others, yet somehow, my self-perception seems to be a unique version of that beauty.

I’m transparent about my surgeries to ensure that no young women who haven’t undergone enhancement feel less valued or attractive.

Regardless of whether one undergoes cosmetic surgery or not, everyone carries a unique beauty within them. However, what seems particularly problematic is engaging in multiple enhancements without openly acknowledging it.

‘I see countless women online who have undergone cosmetic surgery yet remain silent about it. I don’t want to fall into that category.’
