Skye Wheatley confirms she has split from her partner of six years Lachlan Waugh after pair went to couples counselling

As an ardent follower of Skye Wheatley’s journey, I find myself deeply moved by her courage and resilience. This woman, who has captivated us with her vibrant spirit and infectious energy, has once again shown us the depth of her character. Her decision to prioritize her family’s well-being over personal comfort is a testament to her strength as a mother and partner.

Skye Wheatley has confirmed she has separated from her partner of six years Lachlan Waugh.

Hey there! As a diehard fan, I just can’t help but spill the beans about my beloved content creator. On Tuesday, this Gold Coast mom of two revealed something that had me reeling – Lachy hasn’t been showing up in her recent Q&A videos because they’ve opted to give themselves some space apart. Can’t wait to see how this unfolds!

She shared with her followers that there isn’t much new to share at the moment. Instead, they’re taking a brief pause for rejuvenation, which is beneficial.

Previously, the ex-reality TV personality has openly discussed their challenges as a couple and more recently, they’ve shared that they’ve been attending therapy sessions together.

She mentioned that the year 2024 for her is focused on reaching objectives, a voyage that encompasses tackling the hurdles in her connection with Lachlan.

‘Lockie and I went to a counselling session yesterday,’ Skye said.

Originally planned as therapeutic time for their five-year-old son Forrest, the session unexpectedly became a vital intervention for the parents themselves.

Realizing that their dynamic with each other might impact their son’s behavior, Skye decided to take steps to address the situation.

She also reflected on past counselling experiences, contrasting them with their current therapy.

‘Let’s start with the parents because we’re broken,’ she said.

She emphasised the importance of tackling their issues head-on for the better of their family.

She expressed her unease about a past counselor, mentioning that she felt ‘criticized’, but now finds her new counselor to be full of optimism and hope.

Initially, Skye suggested that there might be issues arising as early as last February, implying that she and Lachlan were taking some time apart and sharing responsibilities as parents of their two kids.

As a die-hard devotee, I couldn’t contain my excitement when the beloved former reality star shared the fantastic news with her whopping 315,700 TikTok followers: she’d be watching over their cherished sons for an entire two nights!

Lachlan would take them for the next two nights, and so on.

Instead, their living situation didn’t persist, and Lachlan requested Skye to return home to share the responsibility of raising their sons as a couple.

At that point, it seemed like some people might have been a little unclear about my recent discussions on shared parenting with Lachy,” she explained.

As a lifestyle advisor, I’ve found a method that worked well for me and my partner: we practice an alternating schedule with our children. Every couple of days, I have them overnight, followed by my partner taking care of them for the next couple of days. It’s a rhythm of two nights on, then two nights off.

Skye said Lachy pleaded with her to ‘come home’ soon into their co-parenting experiment.

‘After a little bit of doing that, and he was like, ‘Okay, you can come home now,” she said.

It seems clear that he didn’t enjoy the situation. We value our time as a family, but honestly, we felt the need for a brief respite, just to unwind a bit.

It was clear that I didn’t enjoy being apart from the children for as prolonged a time as our separation. During this phase, we simply took turns parenting, which is what we called ‘co-parenting’, while we were away. I hope my explanation is clear.
