Octeto Studios SpA recently launched Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire, their popular JRPG inspired by Studio Ghibli films, on Android devices. The game is a paid download. You can now command a crew of sky pirates in strategic aerial battles
Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire is a game that lovingly evokes the feel of classic Japanese role-playing games, but tells its own touching story in a beautiful world amongst the clouds. You take on the role of Glenn Windwalker, a captain who’s building a crew of diverse sky pirates to fight against a dominating force called the Alliance. Gameplay includes strategic, turn-based aerial battles.
Throughout your journey, you’ll gain new allies, learn strong abilities, and improve your airship with upgrades to help your crew. You’ll also need to gather resources, build out different parts of your ship, and get ready for whatever dangers lie ahead in the sky.
I’m really enjoying the game’s beautiful art style, which reminds me of Studio Ghibli films, along with its likeable characters and touching story. You can explore colorful towns in the sky, learn about different cultures, help resolve local problems, and build relationships with the people you meet. It looks like a lot of fun, and I’m definitely going to play it.
The mobile game, Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire, is now available for Android devices as a paid download on the Google Play Store. We’ll share news about the iOS version release soon.
