Sky: Children of the Light confirms a Moomin Collab at SkyFest 2024
As a dedicated fan of Sky: Children of the Light, I couldn’t be more excited about the recent announcements made at the SkyFest 2024 event in Tokyo! The collaboration with the beloved Moomin series is truly a dream come true for me. I have fond memories of growing up with Moomin stories and the idea of experiencing them within the beautiful world of Sky: Children of the Light is simply amazing.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly following the exciting developments in Sky: Children of the Light, my all-time favorite social adventure game. Recently, we celebrated its 5th anniversary with the spectacular SkyFest 2024 event held in Tokyo, Japan on July 13-14. The announcement that truly caught everyone’s attention during this celebration was the upcoming collaboration between our beloved game and the classic Moomin series. Although no official date has been shared yet, we can expect this thrilling new season to unfold in the fall of 2024.
Approximately 300,000 spectators took part in the event, and at one point, Skyfest attracted more than 10,000 participants for the virtual SkyFest Cinema. This allowed fans who couldn’t attend in person to immerse themselves in a collective video streaming experience.
Sky: Children of the Light is already ready with its new “Season of Duets” and now has confirmed a Moomin Collab for the upcoming season
Sky: Children of the Light is widely recognized and its creators live up to the name by introducing fresh seasons filled with new content for devoted players. They’ve unveiled a new season called “The Duets Season” and plan to team up with the popular animated series, Moomin, for an upcoming collaboration. The SkyFest celebration will carry on inside the game until July 26th, giving players the opportunity to collect unique rewards during this period.
In the ongoing series, titled “Season of Duets,” we’ll delve into the tale of two connected spirits through music, as their journey unfolds in an engaging narrative. Meanwhile, the upcoming collaboration with Moomin, dubbed “Moomin Collab,” promises to explore the multicultural aspects of the beloved stories. Topics like family, companionship, nature, and self-reflection will be highlighted.
As a dedicated fan of Moominvalley tales, I am thrilled to hear that the upcoming collaboration will place a special emphasis on Ninny’s story, “The Invisible Child.” Having grown up with these beloved characters, I can’t help but feel a deep connection to them. The idea of experiencing this particular tale in a new and moving way is truly exciting.
Two additional in-game seasons are being developed and are planned for release in 2025, bringing even more excitement for “Sky” series fans. With an abundance of fresh features coming up, fans can look forward to an extended period of enjoyment and engagement.
