Skip Bayless accused of offering Fox Sports hairstylist $1.5 million for sex

For many years, radio and television personality Skip Bayless has been accused of making persistent, uncomfortable sexual propositions towards a hairdresser employed by Fox Sports, as stated in a court case filed in the California Superior Court, Los Angeles. The allegations include offering the woman a sum of $1.5 million in exchange for sexual intimacy.

The 42-page legal document further accuses the workplace at Fox of being hostile for over a decade, where the hairstylist was subjected to a work environment that was sexist, racist, and discriminatory against people with disabilities. In this toxic atmosphere, executives and talent were permitted to mistreat employees without consequences.

Lawyers for Noushin Faraji are pursuing undisclosed compensation from Bayless, Fox Sports, and their overarching company, Fox Corporation. Faraji claims that when she and others exposed the misconduct, Fox responded by retaliating against them, while those who committed the misconduct and shielded them were instead rewarded with promotions. This case serves as another example of the problematic culture at Fox, characterized by dishonest commitments and a persistent failure to address deeply rooted sexism.

73-year-old Bayless worked for Fox Sports from 2016 until the cancellation of his show “Undisputed” in 2024, following a drop in its ratings that aligned with the departure of co-host, ex-NFL player Shannon Sharpe. Prior to joining Fox, Bayless was at ESPN, debuting on “Cold Pizza” in 2004 and later hosting “First Take” alongside Stephen A. Smith.

From 2012 to her termination in 2024 at Fox studios in L.A., Faraji’s work was abruptly ended due to alleged false causes, according to the lawsuit. Besides Bayless, the suit also lists as defendants Charlie Dixon, executive vice president of Fox Sports, and Joy Taylor, a host for Fox.

On “First Take,” the main host is tackling topics that go beyond sports, using his podcast and cable news appearances for this purpose. In some cases, these efforts have even led to potential contributor positions, according to him.

The legal claim asserts that in 2017, during a birthday celebration for Taylor at a restaurant in Hollywood, Dixon made an unwanted advance towards Faraji. Faraji informed Taylor about this incident, but instead of sympathy, Taylor reportedly told her to move on, highlighting that she (Taylor) kept her job due to Dixon and that Faraji was employed because Taylor had requested her, and furthermore, implying that both their jobs could be at risk if Faraji persisted. The lawsuit also describes a long-term romantic relationship between Dixon and Taylor, as well as numerous other details.

At some point, Bayless asked Faraji to provide him a weekly haircut in the makeup room. However, as the regular haircuts commenced, Mr. Bayless started coming up with reasons to physically interact with Ms. Faraji. He would linger after each haircut, hugging her tightly and pressing his body against hers, touching her breasts. Later, he started kissing her on the cheeks. Ms. Faraji felt uneasy about these physical advances and often tried to leave immediately following the haircuts.

In July 2021, as stated in the lawsuit, Faraji conveyed to Bayless that she was undergoing biopsies to ascertain if she had cancer. The lawsuit claims that after this, Bayless grabbed her hands, started kissing them, and proposed $1.5 million for a sexual encounter. About a week later, Bayless made another inappropriate advance towards Ms. Faraji. Ms. Faraji responded: “Skip, stop, you are married.

Skip Bayless, who now runs his own podcast titled “The Skip Bayless Show” on YouTube, wed media relations expert Ernestine Sclafani in the year 2016. Together, they co-authored a book titled “Balls: Maintaining Your Relationship Amidst a Sports Enthusiast,” which was published in 2019.

According to a court decision made by the Nevada Probate Commissioner, media mogul Rupert Murdoch, known for his conservative influence, won’t be able to alter his family trust so that it transfers control upon his death to his son Lachlan, as originally intended.

As a passionate film enthusiast, I’m sharing some intriguing news about a legal matter involving Fox Studio. The lawsuit additionally presents class action claims on behalf of all hourly employees who worked at Fox in California within the past four years before this suit was filed. The allegations include failure to pay for all hours worked, overtime not compensated, unreturned business expense costs, and lack of severance pay.

A representative from Fox stated regarding the lawsuit, “We treat such accusations with gravity and currently cannot provide additional comments due to the ongoing legal proceedings.” An attempt to contact Bayless’ representative via email has yet to receive a prompt reply.
