Previously renowned child actress Megan Prescott has disclosed that her past as an adult entertainer served as the catalyst for her upcoming solo performance titled “Really Good Exposure.
At just 16 years old, the actress, now aged 34, became well-known after she and her twin sister Kathryn won the parts of Katie and Emily Finch in the E4 series “Skins.
At 14 years old, Megan entered the entertainment field and later secured parts in shows like Silent Witness, Holby City, and various short films. However, as the pandemic caused a decline in work opportunities, she resorted to using OnlyFans as an additional source of income.
In a private conversation with Daily Mail, Megan shared that her earnings from the adult website equaled what she made in a month doing various temporary jobs, all within one week.
In addition to working as a stripper, she shared that this background in the adult entertainment industry served as inspiration for writing her latest stage production. This play is set to make its London premiere within the next week following its successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year and receiving awards along the way.
In the television series, Megan plays the role of Molly, a young actress contemplating entering the adult film industry. This decision comes after she was dropped by her agent following an incident where she worked at a nightclub offering adult entertainment.

Reflecting on the storyline, she pondered that it was “a semi-autobiographical drama portraying a character who rises from wealth to poverty, much like Slumdog Millionaire told in reverse.
In simpler terms, I’ve drawn inspiration from various experiences in my personal life and popular stories from the ’90s and early 2000s. I’ve then blended these elements together to create a single, unique character and narrative.
Megan went on to say, “All the topics I address are ones I’ve encountered throughout my lifetime. I’ve been involved in the adult sector for a considerable period, and I’ve been engaged in entertainment since I can recall.
To create a play that drew upon aspects of my personal journey, yet remained accessible to many audiences.
Many individuals may not have direct involvement in the adult entertainment or acting industries, yet a significant number of millennial women have shared their personal experiences, expressing strong connections with these fields upon reflection.
I was thinking about sharing some of my personal stories as a foundation for creating something that resonates with a broader range of people, making it easier for them to connect with.
Speaking candidly, Megan shared that revealing her vulnerability to the audience felt like baring all on stage – it was an incredibly exposing experience.
I believe there is an experience unique to live theatre that can’t be replicated on screen. In fact, I decided to approach this endeavor with authenticity and dedication.

At 22 years old, Megan started working as a dancer at a club to financially sustain herself during her pursuit of acting roles in auditions.
Later, she decided to sign up for OnlyFans in the year 2020, as she held a job at a distillery in London under a zero-hour agreement. Her supervisor was reluctant to put her on temporary leave (furlough) for some time.
Due to having just £300 left in her bank account and being unable to cover her rent, her podcast co-host Haven from Strippers In The Attic recommended OnlyFans as a possible source of income.
Megan shared that she told her: “She mentioned something like this: ‘There’s plenty of videos featuring you as sexual content online from Akins, yet you’re no longer benefiting financially from them!’
Megan, in accordance with her friend, registered on the website where she offers nude photos (frontally), and is an outspoken advocate for sex workers.
She shared that she aims for attendees of her performance to finish with a fresh perspective and increased comprehension about the field of sex work.
Megan clarified: “It’s challenging to persuade people, given the significant negative perceptions associated with the profession of sex work.
I openly advocate for the legalization of sex work with an emphasis on ensuring safety measures,” might spark some conversations where people express concerns about women’s wellbeing.
Your intentions are commendable, but consider having conversations with sex workers and examining the industry to see how it resembles other professions. This could provide valuable insights.

Megan went on to say that she hopes viewers will watch the show, observe how the character is portrayed in both acting and sex work, and be left with thought-provoking questions and a slightly broader perspective than they had initially.
‘I know people don’t think it does, but sex workers rights are integral to to women’s rights.’
Although Megan has no intention of leaving the acting world behind, she shared that she sees no reason to abandon her OnlyFans account. In a reflective tone, she expressed that it has been an incredibly liberating experience for her.
Catch Megan’s captivating performance, “Really Good Exposure,” at London’s Soho Theatre between September 2 and September 13.
