Skeleton Crew is arrives early with new release date!
As a long-time Star Wars enthusiast who has journeyed through the galaxy far, far away countless times, I couldn’t be more excited about the early release of “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” on December 2! The anticipation has been building ever since the initial announcement, and now that it’s just around the corner, my excitement is reaching a fever pitch.
🕹️ As a Star Wars fanatic, I’ve got some exciting news! In a pre-Life Day surprise, the new series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, is hitting Disney+ a day early on December 2nd. The premiere of the first two episodes will commence at 6 P.M. PST/9 P.M. EST. From then on, every Friday starting December 10th, a new episode will drop until the series concludes. Can’t wait to join the adventure!
What is Star Wars: Skeleton Crew about?
The first two episodes of the show will begin at 6 PM Pacific Time / 9 PM Eastern Time this evening on Disney+. Subsequently, each new episode will air every week starting from December 10th, right up until the conclusion of the series.
The story titled “Skeleton Crew” unfolds around a group of four children, who stumble upon a mysterious vessel in the woods of their seemingly tranquil world. Among them is Wim, portrayed by Ravi Cabot-Conyers, a free spirit yearning for grand escapades, contrasting his cautious friend Neel, played by Robert Timothy Smith. Along for the ride are the unruly Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) and her confidante KB (Kyriana Kratter).
It turns out that nobody on this universe seems familiar with the planet where these children hail from, an oddity to them. One might think that entire planets wouldn’t be unknown, right? Injecting a bit of humor, I can’t help but recall Obi-Wan Kenobi’s “You can’t find a planet by looking for one” quote. Fortunately, the kids receive aid from Jod Na Nawood, a character played by Jude Law who appears to be some sort of Force user (not quite a Jedi, but close enough). Additionally, there is SM-33, a grumpy droid voiced by Nick Frost, serving as the ship’s first mate when it was broken down. The group decides to assist these children in returning home to their parents.
It seems that things aren’t going well for Wim and Fern at home too. Their parents, Wendle (Tunde Adebimpe) and Fara (Kerry Condon), are extremely concerned about them. Interestingly, Fara is an official figure, and in the trailer, she cautions Wendle that not everything may be as it seems on their world. This is a point that Lucasfilm later chose to remove from some of their initial promotional material, hinting at a mystery unfolding!
In a thrilling chase by pirates and with an 80s atmosphere that’s hard to resist, the action-packed series “Skeleton Crew” will make its debut on Disney+ starting December 2.
