According to Skai Jackson, her baby’s father, Deondre Burgin, has been physically abusing her since the beginning of last spring. His actions include making harmful suggestions such as urging her to consume bleach during her pregnancy with the intent of ending it.

A temporary restraining order was issued against him on Monday, as stated in court records. This order applies to the actress, her child, and their pet dog Otis.

Actress Skai Jackson recently announced the arrival of her firstborn, sharing a glimpse of the new addition on social platforms. It seems that the child’s grandmother has indicated that the baby is a little boy in a post on social media as well.

23-year-old ex-Disney Channel star, Jackson, recently filed a complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Burgin, 21, detailing numerous alleged abuses. Many of these incidents are said to have occurred in 2024, but the event that led to this filing seems to be an attack on Mother’s Day this year. In her court documents, Jackson stated that Burgin attacked her while she was pregnant with their son, Kasai, on May 11th.

In a statement she posted, the actress from ‘Jessie’ and ‘Bunk’d’ described an incident where Deondre allegedly pulled her hair, banged her head against the back window of her car, and struck her in the face. This resulted in a nosebleed. She fears for her son’s safety due to Deondre’s history of violence. Furthermore, he reportedly uttered an expletive directed at her child.

In June last year, Burgin seized Jackson’s phone to review her texts since a man had messaged her. However, according to the report, Jackson claimed that later on, Burgin damaged her iPhone and allegedly choked her near a kitchen counter.

Jackson recounted a June incident where he was coerced by someone. They threatened to make me drink bleach in order to terminate our unborn baby. He then escorted me to the car, holding a knife, ordering me to sit in the driver’s seat and warned that if I screamed for help, he would stab me in the abdomen. He proceeded to call a friend, boasting about his intention to kill me. He further instructed me to drive us to a doctor for an abortion. However, when I attempted to do so, he questioned my sanity and wondered why I’d want to end our child’s life.
