Siuhy benched by MOUZ, CS2 fans left in disbelief

Siuhy leaving MOUZ wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card.

It was declared on January 2025 that Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek is no longer serving as MOUZ’s in-game leader.

Siuhy has played a crucial role in MOUZ’s victories in Counter-Strike 2. Regrettably, there seems to be a permanent split between the organization and the Polish In-Game Leader (IGL), Siuhy, as they are parting ways.

In their official announcement, MOUZ stated that Siuhy will transition to an inactive position due to varying views on the team’s future path. Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin has been chosen as the new in-game leader. Adrian “xelez” Vincze from MOUZ NXT will temporarily fill a role within the team for the upcoming IEM Katowice event.

MOUZ has revealed that going forward, players Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás (AWPer) and Dorian “xertioN” Berman (rifler) will take on more significant roles within the team. It seems that Mouz might be searching for a new In-Game Leader (IGL), as Brollan regained his individual performance last year, and he has never provided strategic calls before.

Just a few days following their unexpected defeat against dark horses BetBoom in the BLAST Bounty Season 1, this stunning team shakeup from MOUZ has occurred. Their loss in that match led to MOUZ’s elimination from the competition.

It’s unfortunate that the opportunity to recruit siuhy comes at a poor moment since most teams have already set their lineups for 2025. This means there are limited experienced players, particularly In-Game Leaders (IGLs), who are seeking new teams.

Siuhy is often recognized as one of the best In-Game Leaders globally. Beyond this accolade, he also demonstrated excellent cooperation with his teammates and coach, with all but Brollan progressing through MOUZ NXT. Under his leadership, MOUZ rose to become a consistently strong top five team in the world, even managing to secure back-to-back victories in ESL Pro League.

Siuhy will be a major asset in the CS2 market should he not return to MOUZ

Since top-tier In-Game Leaders (IGLs) are scarce, siuhy is poised to cast a significant shadow over every IGL in the scene. He’s demonstrated an impressive tactical strategy for MOUZ, is only 22 years old, and offers solid firepower.

Keeping a keen eye on the current scenario would be advisable for teams such as Vitality and FaZe Clan, given their experienced in-game leaders (IGLs) in Dan “apEX” Madesclaire and Finn “karrigan” Andersen. However, these seasoned professionals aren’t getting any younger, which could potentially impact their performance. Additionally, their trophy count from the previous year was relatively low.

In a potential scenario, Falcons and Team Liquid might consider recruiting siuhy as an alternative to kyxsan and Twistzz, should their current arrangements prove unsuccessful.
