Rod Stewart was thrilled to be named Guest of Honor in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Saturday, following three incredibly successful, sold-out concerts there.
The famous 80-year-old musician, who regularly performed for crowds of 15,000 at the Moviestar Arena, was honored with a certificate at a ceremony held in the Eva Perán Hall of the Parliamentary Assembly.
While at the ceremony, Rod received an Argentina football jersey with his name on the back.
He expressed his surprise and gratitude, saying he’d never been given such an award and that it meant a great deal to him. He offered his heartfelt thanks.
‘This is the country with the best soccer players in the world and the best fans of all.’
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen a lot of events, and it was truly an honor for me and my colleagues to present this very special Guest of Honor award. It felt great to be a part of recognizing someone so deserving!

They went on to say that Buenos Aires is a vibrant cultural center for Latin America and the world, and they felt deeply honored to be recognized within such a significant city.
‘It is an infinite gratitude from this house, which is the house of democracy.
Buenos Aires is a city for everyone, filled with the passion of football, the grit of everyday life, and the timeless music of Rod Stewart.
Rod recently performed in the city as part of his One Last Time Tour. He’s continuing his tour with upcoming shows in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, and North America.
He seemed very happy and energetic earlier this month while celebrating his whisky brand’s anniversary with a lively night out at a stylish club in Las Vegas.
Rod had a lively night and playfully changed the lyrics to his song “Maggie May,” making the crowd laugh – especially after enjoying a few drinks.
After finishing his show at The Colosseum Theater, he walked over to Caspian’s Rock & Roe inside Caesars Palace Hotel.
The singer altered the lyrics to the 1971 song, singing a sexually explicit line: ‘Oh Maggie please me show your breasts tonight.’

He said he would take her to his room and show her what he wanted to do, expressing his desire with a vulgar and disrespectful statement of affection.
During his performance, backed by the band from his successful Colosseum shows, Sir Rod Stewart playfully altered the lyrics to his song “Have I Told You Lately,” jokingly singing, “Can I be a man, not 21? I found a guitar and I stuck it up my bum.”
The playful Faces frontman dueted with Vegas act RadioXx on Have I Told You Lately.
When lead singer Toby Rand sang the line ‘Have I Told You Lately I Love You,’ Cheeky Rod playfully responded with a smiling ‘No, you haven’t!’
He celebrated the second anniversary of his Wolfie’s Whisky brand with a lively performance of songs like Maggie May, Have I Told You Lately, and Ooh LaLa at Caspian’s Cocktails & Caviar in Caesars Palace.
He playfully stuck his nose into a cake shaped like a Wolfie’s bottle, then took a bite. Rod seemed to enjoy the taste, and he smiled at the delighted crowd.
Rod sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Wolfies, wished everyone God’s blessings, and thanked the audience before enjoying a large cocktail.
Oh my gosh, you guys, he’s BACK! Our two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is doing ‘The Encore Shows’ at Caesars Palace from May 27th to June 6th next year – I already have my tickets! And after the show, he just kept the party going, hanging out with all of us in his amazing VIP area he created himself. It was unreal!
