Sir Rod Stewart, 79, and wife Penny Lancaster, 53, are joined by their sons Aiden, 13, and Alastair, 19, and his daughter Renee, 32, on a festive day out in Mayfair
As a long-time fan of Rod Stewart and his illustrious career spanning decades, I must say I was taken aback by the recent turn of events involving his wife Penny and MasterChef judge Gregg Wallace. It’s a bit like finding out that one of your favorite rock ‘n’ roll legends has a secret talent for stirring the pot in the kitchen!
On Tuesday, Sir Rod Stewart appeared to be full of joy during a family excursion in Mayfair, London, accompanied by his spouse Penny Lancaster and three of their children.
I, a thrilled, devoted fan at heart, couldn’t help but feel a surge of joy witnessing the rock legend, aged 79, cherishing moments with his two youngest sons, Aiden, 13, and Alastair, 19, alongside his radiant daughter Renee, at the tender age of 32.
Rod, who married Penny in 2007, shares eight children with five different mothers.
As a lifestyle expert, I find myself blessed with a unique family dynamic. Alongside my partner, we parent Aiden and Alastair, two wonderful children who bring joy to our lives. However, it’s important to acknowledge that Rod, a familiar figure in the limelight, is also a father to Renee, his child with actress Rachel Hunter, as well as Liam, a 30-year-old son who completes their family picture.
Besides being a father to Rod, there’s also Sarah Streeter, aged 60, who is his daughter. He co-parents her with an ex-partner named Susannah Boffey.
Kimberly, aged 45, and Sean, aged 44, are two of Rod’s children born during his marriage to the actress Alana Stewart. Additionally, he has a daughter named Ruby, who is 37 years old, from a past relationship with Kelly Emberg.
Rod and Penny appeared to be deeply in love as they strolled arm-in-arm, doing some holiday shopping throughout the city.
As an ardent admirer, I’d describe myself being left spellbound by Penny, who exuded elegance in her bold, fiery red blouse and sleek black jacket. On the other hand, Rod caught my eye with his fashion-forward charm in a stylishly checked shirt.
After Rod performed his show “One Last Time” at Coliseum A Coruña, he ignited his audience during the grand finale.
In the videos posted on social media, the artist famous for Maggie May is captured dancing energetically and urging followers to join in with the singing.
He chanted ‘Goodnight A Coruna’ and his army of fans chanted the phrase back to him.
Just as the curtain fell behind him, he said: ‘Thank you so much, wonderful, goodnight to you!’
Fans were quick to flood social media with their response to the electrifying gig.
One wrote: ‘A wonderful night with Rod Stewart in Coruna, an unforgettable day!’
Rod frequently navigates songs like “Tonight’s the Night (I Will Be Fine)” and “Hot Legs,” among several others, in his work.
Currently, his most prominent work that stands out in his career is the song “Do You Think I’m Sexy?” – a track he initially released back in 1978.
His impressive show took place only a few days following his blistering criticism towards the host of Masterchef, Gregg Wallace, during the BBC controversy.
Following Penny’s emotional display on the show, when Gregg scolded her for the late delivery of her meal and subsequently declined her offering, she was served afterwards.
The instance where Gregg declined Penny’s tartar sauce, criticizing her for using ‘whole eggs rather than egg yolks’, resurfaced when her spouse Rod labeled him as a ‘chubby intimidator’.
Additionally, Gregg gently reprimanded Penny, a dedicated volunteer police constable, for arriving tardy while dishing out meals to critics during the quarterfinals, causing her to shed tears.
Instead of saying “Gregg stepped away from MasterChef amid allegations of ‘sexually charged’ behavior on the set of the popular BBC series,” you could rephrase it as: “During the filming of the famous BBC show MasterChef, Gregg temporarily left due to claims about his inappropriate behavior that some found to be too suggestive.
After the announcement, Sir Rod penned: ‘It seems Wallace has moved on… Your actions were disgraceful towards my wife during the show, yet that part was edited out, wasn’t it? You’re a plump, bald-headed, boorish brute. It appears Karma has caught up with you.’
13 individuals, among them Kirsty Wark, have voiced concerns about his behavior during their professional interactions with him spanning 17 years and encompassing five different programs, from the year 2005 up until 2022, as reported by the BBC.
Kirsty claims that during the filming of Celebrity MasterChef in 2011, Gregg made two instances of sharing sexual stories and jokes. She further stated that his humor was completely out of line and inappropriate for the setting.
On two specific instances, he employed suggestive speech in mixed company, yet no one seemed to react or respond. It was clearly a one-sided situation. However, it appeared that people were uneasy, which was certainly unexpected by her.
The BBC and MasterChef’s production company, Banijay, declined to comment.
