Elton John’s classic holiday song, ‘Step Into Christmas,’ has been certified platinum in the United States, just in time for Christmas! The achievement was announced only two days before Christmas Day.

Elton John shared his excitement online, celebrating a significant achievement with a photo of himself and two awards, beaming with a smile.
I’m thrilled to share some fantastic Christmas news! My song ‘Step Into Christmas’ has gone platinum in the United States and is certified 4x platinum in the UK!
It’s amazing that a song released over 50 years ago continues to be a beloved part of celebrations for so many, and even charted in the UK Top 10 again this year!
‘Thank you to everyone who keeps stepping into Christmas, year after year!’

Sir Elton’s stunning home was beautifully decorated for Christmas behind him in the snaps.
Fans showered Elton John with congratulatory messages, with one writing, ‘Wow, that’s amazing! I’m always so proud of you, Sir Elton, you’re incredible!’
Congratulations, Elton! This song is wonderful and full of love – you truly deserve all the praise. Wishing you, David, Zachary, Elijah, and your family a very happy holiday season, and sending blessings to you all.

The family had a wonderful month, celebrating as David Furnish received an honorary degree, with congratulations from Sir Elton John.
David, age 63, received an honorary Doctor of Literature degree from Royal Holloway London in recognition of his more than 30 years of dedicated service to the singer’s AIDS Foundation.
Elton John, 78, proudly shared a photo of his husband on his Instagram Story, celebrating his accomplishment in a graduation cap and gown.

David shared that he had a wonderful afternoon at Royal Holloway London, witnessing the graduation of new PhD students who had worked incredibly hard for their degrees.
‘I revelled at the diversity and compassion of their dissertations. It filled me with hope.
I was also honored to receive a Doctor of Literature degree in recognition of my three decades of work with the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
He went on to say that he accepted the award humbly, emphasizing that the important work being honored was always a team effort, not the result of any single individual’s actions.
I’m proud to share this recognition with the incredible people who have worked tirelessly to combat HIV – the activists, doctors, scientists, volunteers, teachers, public workers, and generous donors. But most importantly, I share it with the people living with HIV, whose bravery, resilience, and guidance have been the driving force behind decades of progress.
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone at Royal Holloway for the honor and the warm welcome I’ve received into your community.
I just HAVE to say thank you to everyone at the Elton John AIDS Foundation – they’re incredible! And especially… oh, especially Elton himself! He’s just… unstoppable, honestly. My amazing, tireless husband. I don’t know what they’d do without him!
