According to reports, Sir David Jason is hoping to bring back the cast of ‘Only Fools and Horses‘ to celebrate the show’s 45th anniversary.
Sources say the 85-year-old actor is creating a two-part documentary for Gold, including footage from the show that hasn’t been seen before.
Sir David, famous for playing the character Del Boy in the popular British comedy show, is reportedly trying to convince Nicholas Lyndhurst, who played Del Boy’s brother Rodney, to join him in a project.
A source at The Sun said David understands how popular ‘Only Fools and Horses’ is, and believes fans will really enjoy these new documentaries.
He’s excited to share memories from the past and reveal behind-the-scenes details about the show.
‘Having Nicholas on board would be a major coup, too, should he be up for taking part.’

Daily Mail has contacted David’s representative for comment.
Open All Hours began on the BBC in 1973 as a trial episode, and after positive feedback, it was officially greenlit for a full series.
The show ran for four seasons, and even though only 26 episodes were made, it remains popular with viewers who continue to watch it on UKTV.
Sir David is the only actor to have starred in every episode of the show.
Ronnie Barker, the beloved comedian, famously starred in Open All Hours as a frugal shopkeeper constantly trying to save a penny.
The show returned in 2013 under the title ‘Still Open All Hours,’ with the story now focusing on David inheriting the shop.
It ran for six years before being cancelled in 2019.
Meanwhile, Only Fools And Horses The Musical opened in February 2019 and ran for four years.

As a lifestyle expert, I can tell you this show was a huge success! Everyone loved it – the fans, the critics, and even the original cast members came out to celebrate the premiere and all the amazing performances. It was a really special moment for everyone involved.
Paul Whitehouse and Jim Sullivan, son of the famed Only Fools and Horses writer John Sullivan (who died in 2011), co-wrote the show. John Sullivan had always hoped to see his work performed in London’s West End.
