Sinitta, 62, reveals she has split from her boyfriend and says she isn’t ‘afraid of being alone’ as she strips down to her lingerie

Sinitta announced her breakup with her boyfriend, posting a revealing photo of herself in lingerie on Instagram on Thursday.

The 62-year-old singer, famous since the 1980s, has never revealed the identity of the man she began dating in 2024.

Sinitta confidently stated she’s okay with being single and doesn’t fear being alone, as she revealed their split.

Starting the year single is perfectly okay – being alone can be a gift! It’s a great time to reflect on things, learn from experiences, and grow at your own pace and in peace.

Not all relationships last forever in the same way. Sometimes they evolve into friendships, and other times they simply become cherished memories.

It’s okay to enjoy your own company – cherish yourself and celebrate who you are. Let go of what no longer serves you, and allow others to do the same, with kindness and good intentions for everyone involved.

You’ve always been strong, both with others and on your own. I face this with curiosity and calm, encouraging you to be brave and kind to yourself, and to let go of fear.

I remember when Sinitta first told us how she met this guy – he’s from Miami, and she shared the whole story on Loose Women. It was so interesting to hear how it all began!

She explained that he arrived for dinner, they went to a bar and had a couple of tequilas, and she then woke up in his bedroom.

It felt wonderful to reconnect with my friend, especially after a decade of things being so difficult.

Showing her mystery ex what he is missing, Sinitta shared a steamy snap in her underwear.

Sinitta famously quit Celebs Go Dating in 2022 after failing to find love on the show.

Sinitta recently criticized the show, claiming it used ‘disgraceful editing’ to make it appear she still has romantic feelings for her former on-again, off-again boyfriend of two decades, Simon Cowell.

Sinitta first encountered the music executive at age 14 and later became the very first artist signed to his record company. She has shared in the past that she deeply loves him.

She vented on Twitter about being bothered by last week’s episode of the E4 reality dating show.

She publicly called out an editing choice on social media, expressing her disappointment to her 132,000 followers. She felt the edit, which suggested she was still “in love” with Simon Cowell, misrepresented her and undermined her work. She questioned the decision, emphasizing the difference between “love” and being “in love,” and expressed her feeling of betrayal towards the show’s team (@CelebsGoDating, @awilliamsonTV, @PaulCBrunson).

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen firsthand how complicated relationships can be. Earlier this year, Sinitta opened up to the Daily Mail about her long history with Simon Cowell, and she shared how deeply hurt she was when he started dating her close friend, Lauren Silverman, back in 2013. She’d always believed they had a special understanding, a sort of unspoken agreement, and she felt betrayed when that was broken.

She believed the pair would be re-kindling their romance around the same time.

The singer and the music mogul were famously a couple in the 1980s, while she was recording for his record label, Fanfare Records. She recently revealed that her feelings lingered well into the 2010s, and she truly believed they were still trying to make their relationship work.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail, she added that she’s accepted it was ‘unrequited love’.

The celebrity shared that about ten years ago, she still hoped to be in a relationship with Simon. She admitted it was painful to experience unrequited love, but she’s moved on and is doing okay.

Okay, so it was… complicated. We’d be close, then distant, and I just thought there was something more between us. Looking back, I totally read into things, but honestly? It’s fine. I can live with being wrong if it meant imagining we had a connection, even if it was just in my head.

I don’t see myself as the bad guy because I really believed we were making progress. That’s why it hurt so much, but that’s just how things go sometimes.
