On October 9th, 29-year-old Fede Dorcaz, an Argentinian singer, actor, and model, was killed in Mexico City. Police suspect he was murdered during a robbery attempt.
Dorcaz, known as the partner of YouTuber Mariana Ávila, was preparing to appear on the reality show Las Estrellas Bailan en Hoy when he unexpectedly passed away.
The news was first reported by the social media account ¡Siéntese Quien Pueda!, who honored Dorcaz’s artistic skill and dedication.
The channel shared on Instagram on October 10th that Fede’s passing was a great loss, but his incredible talent, warm personality, and love for music will never be forgotten.
Reports from TVyNovelas and Agencia México state that Dorcaz was driving an expensive SUV in Mexico City, near the intersection of Periférico and Electrificación Street in the Daniel Garza neighborhood, when he was approached by two men on motorcycles who were carrying weapons.
According to reports, the attackers had been trailing him for a while before the attempted robbery resulted in his death.
Mexico City police confirmed the death of Dorcaz and sent officers and forensic teams to the location. This area is known for being busy with both cars and motorcycles.
Investigators believe the murder happened while a robbery was being attempted.
Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area as part of their ongoing work.
As a dedicated follower of this case, I’ve seen the surveillance footage, and it clearly shows four men speeding away on motorcycles right after the incident. It’s frustrating that no one’s been arrested yet, but the police have assured us they’re doing everything they can to find these guys and bring them in.
