Amy Sheppard is expecting her first child after an emotional three-year IVF battle.

On Wednesday, the singer, aged 34, along with her husband Lachlan Stuart, shared their joyous news on Instagram, reaching out to the singer’s approximately 90,000 followers.

They posted a montage that started with a picture of a fancy side table, complete with two coffee mugs and a baby’s bottle.

In this touching video, the loving pair could be seen walking together, hand in hand, as they meandered through a beautiful garden setting, with Amy gently holding her expanding belly.

The pair were also seen kissing under a leafy canopy, clearly over the moon with their joyful news.

Captioning the video, Amy revealed that she and Lachlan will become proud parents in February.

The darkest moments are just before the light breaks through, and we’re thrilled to share some wonderful news! The day we’ve been eagerly waiting for has finally arrived – Stuart Little is set to join us in February 2026.

She noted that achieving pregnancy had been a challenging journey for her, but she was eager to express her gratitude towards the medical professionals who made it happen.

In a long-awaited moment, filled with hope and pain, supported by scientific advancements and extraordinary medical professionals, Amy received the most treasured blessing of all.

I’d like to express my gratitude to all of you who held us close in spirit and offered us encouragement during our most challenging periods. Your affection and strength have carried us further than you might imagine.

Amy also sympathised with couples who were still having difficulty conceiving.

She acknowledged that news about pregnancies might bring pain to some, and she empathized with those who are yet to experience it themselves.

I’d like to assure you that you’re always on our minds, and while the news may taste both sweet and bitter, we fervently wish it provides you with a glimmer of hope or a ray of light amidst what seems like a challenging time.

Amy’s post was met with an outpouring of congratulations from friends and followers.

Previously known My Kitchen Rules contestant, Ash Pollard, enthusiastically exclaimed: ‘Oh my goodness, AMMY and LACH! This news is simply thrilling. What a wonderful turn of events for you both. Overflowing with affection and congratulations!’

A different supporter exclaimed enthusiastically: “Wow, what fantastic news! Congratulations to both of you. I’ve always felt that parenthood was in your future, and it’s truly exhilarating. Sending you an abundance of love, and the video is just beautiful as well.

A third person chimed in, expressing their enthusiasm by saying, ‘This is absolutely priceless! I’m overjoyed for both of you. I can hardly contain my anticipation to witness your journey unfold!’

Amy, an original member of the indie pop group Sheppard, has freely shared her experience with In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) on various social media platforms.

She confessed on Instagram in May that it’s a longing for an unattainable dream that seems so elusive, yet remains almost wordlessly present.

‘The shame, the judgment, the endless questions – it’s a weight so many carry in silence.’

In May, Amy openly shared her sadness when the anticipated embryo transfer between them failed, causing a heartache for the couple.

In a heartfelt TikTok post, Amy shared that she got some shocking news just moments before taking the stage for her performance.

For over two and a half years, we’ve consistently followed the right steps – full of hope, persistent effort, and selfless sacrifice. Yet, despite all this, our initial attempt at frozen embryo transfer was unsuccessful. That was our sole chance, she lamented.

I discovered that I had to part ways with Lachie, which led me to shed tears in a restroom stall. Subsequently, I stepped onto a stage before a crowd of a thousand people, delivering an evening they would never forget, while simultaneously enduring an unforgettable heartbreak of my own.

Broken but unbowed, Amy added that she and Lachie were steadfast in their quest to conceive.

It’s fascinating, isn’t it? During this voyage, there are instances where happiness and sadness coexist simultaneously,” she remarked.

As a devoted enthusiast, I may not have control over the moment, but I certainly can decide to persist. Until that fateful day arrives, rest assured, I’ll be there, present and ready.

For the music, and for the dream of standing on stage, filled with passion-with a tiny hopeful spectator backstage.

Amy got married to Stuart in October 2021 during a beautiful seaside wedding at Paradise Cove, located in Airlie Beach.
