Simone Biles divides fans with ‘tacky’ custom Jonathan Owens outfit

On one hand, it is undeniably creative and unique to see a personalized outfit adorned with her husband’s face, showcasing her support for him in such an unconventional yet endearing way.

People are finding themselves with differing opinions following Simone Biles’ appearance at her husband Jonathan Owens’ football game, where she donned an unique ensemble embellished with Jonathan’s likeness.

On Thursday, before the game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field stadium, the 27-year-old gymnast deliberately caught everyone’s attention as she struck poses for photographs.

Simone concealed her slender figure in a set of baggy drawstring combat pants and a corresponding hoodie, both adorned with pictures of Jonathan, aged 29, wearing his football gear.

The Olympic gold medalist finished off her custom style with a petite, white Chanel handbag and coordinating footwear, flashing a grin at the photographers.

On the other hand, the images shared on what was previously called Twitter sparked differing views about Simone’s outfit choice.

‘That looks horrific,’ one person said, while another wrote: ‘This is tacky!’

A third X user claimed: ‘It swamps her. she way too small for all that fabric and pattern.’

A fourth individual remarked, “‘That’s an atrocious ensemble… and the unfortunate thing is she paid someone to create it.’

‘Such an ugly outfit,’ someone else moaned, while a different person simply wrote: ‘Terrible ‘fit.’

‘Awful outfit,’ another mocked, while a different person claimed: ‘GOAT of nonsensical clothing.’

‘Supporting her husband is sweet but that outfit is weird. Is that rug material? Knit?’ someone else questioned. 

Many people praised Simone, with one individual saying: ‘Wow, that’s a fantastic ensemble. Looks great on you!’

A second said: ‘I really just adore Simone Biles. she gonna rep that man regardless. outfit slay.’

Another individual commented, “‘Simone Biles is so cute, I really like her attire.’ A fourth person exclaimed, ‘Wow, that’s fantastic! Who designed it? I bet it wasn’t cheap! Kudos to you, Simone! Fantastic choice of outfit!’

Someone else gushed: ‘Simone Biles looks incredible rocking the Jonathan Owens outfit! 

‘It’s awesome to see them both shining and supporting each other. So much style and grace!’

A few weeks ago, Simone shared a peek at her lifestyle as an NFL partner during the Bears versus 49ers match in San Francisco.

On Instagram, she shared a picture of herself modeling inside a lavish suite, fortunate to catch the game’s view from there.

In alignment with my belief in showcasing solidarity, I opted for a stylish yet supportive outfit today. I decided to wear a chic ensemble of navy blue, white, and gray sweatpants, proudly displaying the name ‘Owens’ upfront – a subtle nod to my friend Jonathan.

The couple struck up a relationship in 2020 after meeting via the exclusive dating app Raya.

Simone and Jonathan got engaged in February 2022 and were married in April the following year.
