Simon Cowell shared in a recent interview that he prays each night since discovering his faith. He also discussed his very limited 1,000-calorie daily diet and confirmed he’s never undergone cosmetic surgery like a face lift.
Music executive Simon Cowell, 66, and his partner, Lauren Silverman, are giving viewers a look into their lives with a new Netflix docuseries called The Next Act. The show follows Simon as he travels the country looking for the next generation of musical talent.
The show gives a look at Louis Walsh’s professional life, as well as personal moments with his partner Lauren and their 11-year-old son, Eric.
Following the release on the streaming service, he recently shared details about his daily life, including his workout routine, what he eats, and some of his unique habits.
Most surprisingly he told The Sun that he prays every single night.
He shared that he prays every night and firmly believes in a guardian angel, God, and the power of the universe, seeing them all as connected. He’s confident he’ll go to heaven, and hopes that’s true.

‘There’ll be my old dogs, all my old friends, my mum and dad.’
He shared that he takes four showers daily and explained his self-care routine after losing three stone in weight.
Simon insists his physical transformation is solely the result of dedicated effort, and that he’s never considered using weight loss drugs.
He works out every day, often doing hundreds of push-ups, and carefully limits his diet to just 1,000 calories daily.
Simon follows a pretty strict diet, avoiding sugar, dairy, red meat, and gluten. He also practices intermittent fasting, though he allows himself occasional treats.
For breakfast he has a fruit smoothie and porridge and for lunch he has ‘half a hot cross bun’.
On if he’d ever used weight loss jabs he said: ‘No, I’ve never been tempted, sorry…’
Simon has faced criticism regarding changes in his appearance. He recently admitted to using Botox, but firmly denied ever having facial plastic surgery.

Okay, so he finally talked about it! Everyone always assumes he’s had work done, but he swears he hasn’t… recently, anyway. Apparently, he used to get filler, but then he saw a photo of himself and was horrified! He said he looked like a total freak, so he had it all removed. I’m just… obsessed with knowing everything about him, and this is HUGE! It’s so good to know he’s embraced his natural look, even if it took a little… adjustment.
The show offers a rare glimpse into his personal life, and he reveals that a wedding is likely coming soon now that his fiancée, Lauren, has officially changed her last name.
One episode shows Lauren signing paperwork to formally change her name by deed poll to Cowell.
Simon, who had often said he wasn’t eager to get married, recently proposed to Lauren on Christmas Eve 2021 and now confirms they are planning to tie the knot.
He said he avoided discussing a potential future event, preferring to keep any decision private until it was made, and then share it with others. However, he noted that her recent comments about changing her name strongly suggest what’s likely to happen.
‘We have a very, very close bond. I adore her. We are a very happy family, genuinely,’ he gushed.
Simon shared that even though he had to convince Lauren to be in his new show, the process actually made him love her even more.
He told Us Weekly that she was hesitant at first about being filmed, but quickly became comfortable. He added that what viewers see on TV is exactly how she is in person – completely authentic.
‘When I was watching the show back, I was absolutely cracking up at some of the scenes.
During a scene about changing her name, Lauren – who was formerly married to businessman Andrew Silverman and shares a 20-year-old son named Adam with him – explains that she’s decided to drop her married name.
“My name is Mrs. Cowell,” she explained. “Simon and I have built a life together, we’re parents, and we have a strong relationship.”
She explained the name change was about feeling connected to Simon and Eric. It wasn’t a big ask, but rather a desire for the family to share a name and feel unified. Simon simply expressed his wish for her to change it, saying it was important for defining who they were as a family.
They first crossed paths in Barbados back in 2004, but didn’t become a couple until about 2012. They had their son, Eric, in 2014, and then got engaged in 2021.

Though he used to say he wasn’t interested in getting married, the man changed his mind after meeting Lauren. She was completely surprised when he proposed.
Simon met Lauren when she was still married to millionaire property developer Andrew Silverman.
In late July 2013, Simon’s life was turned upside down when news of Lauren’s pregnancy and their relationship became public.
In 2015, Simon admitted to Mail on Sunday Event magazine that he wasn’t happy with how things had unfolded, saying he felt ashamed of the situation.
