Simon Cowell, 66, and his fiancée Lauren, 48, look happier than ever during a sun-soaked getaway as they share rare insight into home life

Simon Cowell and his partner Lauren seemed incredibly happy on a recent sunny vacation. They offered a glimpse into their life at home with a photo shared on Instagram on Friday.

Music executive Simon Cowell, 66, and socialite Lauren Silverman, 48, showed their affection for each other while relaxing on a boat. They share an 11-year-old son named Eric, and Simon had his arm around Lauren as they sat together.

In the photo, Lauren looked stylish and relaxed in a red swimsuit and black sunglasses.

Meanwhile, shirtless Simon looked relaxed in a pair of black shorts and his signature sunglasses.

The couple were seen smiling together as they soaked up the sun while cruising along the sea.

Lauren captioned her Story, ‘Us’ accompanied by a line of red love heart emojis.

Simon and Lauren are parents to a son named Eric and also share their home with five dogs. The dogs include three Yorkshire Terriers – Freddie, Squiddly, and Diddly – and two others named Daisy and Pebbles.

Lauren also has a son called Adam, Simon’s step-son, from her previous marriage.

Simon recently hinted that a wedding might be coming soon, now that Lauren has officially changed her last name to Cowell.

In the new Netflix docuseries, The Next Act, music executive Simon Cowell and his partner Lauren share a look into their lives as Simon travels the country searching for the next generation of musical talent.

The show alternates between footage of the X Factor star at work and glimpses into his family life with Lauren and their son, Eric. One episode features Lauren legally changing her last name to Simon’s.

Despite once saying he wasn’t eager to get married, Simon, who proposed to Lauren on Christmas Eve 2021, now confirms they will be getting married.

He said he’s avoided talking about it happening anytime soon. He plans to keep the decision private at first, and announce it later. However, he noted that her recent discussion about changing her name strongly suggests what’s coming next.

‘We have a very, very close bond. I adore her. We are a very happy family, genuinely,’ he gushed.

Simon shared that even though he had to convince Lauren to be in his latest show, the process actually made him love her even more.

At first, she wasn’t thrilled about being filmed, but she quickly became comfortable with it, he said in an interview with Us Weekly.

What’s so great about her is that she’s just as hilarious off-screen as she is on the show. I was laughing so hard while rewatching some of the episodes!

In a scene about changing her name, Lauren – formerly married to businessman Andrew Silverman – explains she’s decided to stop using her married name.

I’m Mrs. Cowell,” she explained. “Simon and I have built a life together, we’re parents, and we have a strong relationship.

The name change, she says, was about aligning with Simon and Eric.

This is primarily about bringing our family closer together and sharing a common name. Simon expressed his desire for me to change my name when we talked about it, saying, “I’d really like you to do that.”

‘It wasn’t a dramatic statement, it was just: “This is who I am, and this is who we are”.’

They first crossed paths in Barbados back in 2004, but didn’t become a couple until about 2012. They had their son, Eric, in 2014, and announced their engagement in 2021.
