Silver and Blood: Beginners Guide and Tips

Silver and Blood is a 2D role-playing game developed by Vizta Games, a subsidiary of MOONTON Games. This fast-paced strategy title boasts 51 playable characters, four distinctive factions, fully animated cutscenes, a strategic combat system, and many other exciting features like Blood Beasts. In this beginner’s guide for Silver and Blood, I will share some helpful tips and tricks to help you get started and enhance your gaming experience.

Gameplay Overview

To provide a comprehensive understanding of the game mechanics in Silver and Blood, let’s dive right into an overview. You’ll assume the role of Noah Nevernight, the Silver-haired Heretic, in this strategic RPG. The game commences with an enthralling anime-style cutscene where you are on the verge of being burned alive by Agares Brennholt and his followers.

Initially, your character appears to suffer from a condition known as “Black Blood” disease, which leads to his incarceration by the Church. The gameplay is primarily dialogue-based, allowing you to tap to progress or use an auto mode. The narrative unfolds in two main parts: Chapter 0, setting up the story, and Chapter 1, where your adventure commences.

In this game, you place your ‘Lords’ and move skill cards towards certain locations or objectives to trigger their Ultimate ability, which is presented dramatically visually. The game operates in an ‘automatic strategy’ style, letting you follow the storyline and simultaneously oversee the self-directed battles.

As you progress through the game, you’ll encounter several Vassals such as Empousa, who rescued you, Aiona Alita, her ally, and Nefertari Setti, initially an adversary but eventually joining your ranks as a Vassal. You can employ your regenerating Bloodsoul points to activate Skill Cards, and utilize the Moon Phases to reduce the cost of these cards and boost their damage output.

As you progress through the Story mode called “Threads of Fate”, you’ll encounter several bosses including Zagon and others. Throughout these battles and more, you’ll have the pleasure of experiencing cinematics reminiscent of anime, making it feel more like watching an anime than playing a game. Additionally, you can customize the difficulty level in Story mode as well.

Silver and Blood Gameplay Basics

Vassals

Hey there! I’m thrilled to share that the game I adore has 51 unique Vassals to discover and claim. Once you’ve got them, you can nurture their growth by providing them with food. To supercharge your Vassals’ potential, you can employ the Spirit Siphon ability, which raises their level ceiling and fundamental attributes!

Each Vassal possesses four abilities, three of which can be upgraded, while special skills remain unchangeable. Just like in any other game, upgrades boost the power of the specific skill. The items needed for Skill Upgrade can be found during your journey in Truth’s Odyssey, a topic we will delve into later.

Faction, Class, and Equipment Type

Your Vassals are categorized into five Factions, six Classes, and three Equipment Types.

  • Faction: Ancestors, Church, Bloodborn, and Kingdom, with the fifth one coming soon.
  • Class: Warrior, Assassin, Defender, Marksman, Sorcerer, and Enchanter.
  • Equipment Type: Light, Medium, and Heavy.

Furthermore, each Vassal adopts one of three Lunar Stances: the New Moon, the Crescent Moon, or the Full Moon. When active, the Ultimate Bloodsoul Cost for all your Vassals is decreased by 1, and they inflict 25% increased damage.

Lost Courtyard

Beneath the castle lies an ancient training ground, a place where young vassals were once schooled. As you advance in the storyline of “Threads of Fate“, more of its facilities become accessible. Here, you can engage in challenges to boost your Blood Power and collect prizes.

Initially, you’ll gain access to “Truth’s Journey”, the primary raid for accumulating materials that boost your skills. In this adventure, you can select a route, tackle various events, and amass resources. Additionally, you have the option to set the level of difficulty, and it’s essential to finish the entire excursion in each region to secure all the bonuses.

The game features fundamental challenges such as Wind, and it offers a selection of card options that award you with Boosters (or Enhancers). Additionally, you can choose fast skirmishes to immediately conclude conflicts. Following each victory, you receive Rewards, which provide Boosters that are carried over to your subsequent battles.

As you advance through Threads of Fate, more modes will unlock:

  • Infinite Abyss: Unlocked after clearing Threads of Fate 3-2.
  • Tomb of the Fallen: By clearing Threads of Fate 3-6.
  • Blood Arena: By clearing Threads of Fate 4-4.
  • Dutchman’s Revenge: The last one can be unlocked after clearing Threads of Fate 6-1.

Tasks

In this game, you’ll find yourself tackling a mix of goals categorized into Daily, Weekly, and Story Missions. By successfully finishing all these missions, you can earn enticing rewards such as Divine Blood Drops, Soli, Scattered Solis, Tranquility Tea, Advanced Shards, Moon Tear, Soothing Embrace, and much more.

Achieving the significant milestones will grant you comparable prizes, allowing you to progress through the Reward Chart to collect 200 Moon Tears.

Embrace

As a devoted player, I’m thoroughly enjoying the Embrace system in this game, as it offers an engaging way for me to bring new Vassals into my ranks through the process of Heralding (spins). At the moment, there are two event banners: the Blue Dawn, where I can Herald with Soothing Embrace or Moon Tear, and the Celestial Concerto, which demands Perennial Bands for participation.

As a gamer in Blue Dawn, I’m stoked to share some fantastic news! Every 60 Heralds, I’ll score myself an SSR Vassal, guaranteed. And

Boutique

The game additionally offers an in-game store known as the “Boutique,” where you’ll find offerings such as Seasonal Offers, Regular Items, Agreements, and the Crescent Vault, among others. Here, you can buy the premium currency of the game, Moon Tears, for real money. Additionally, you can claim a free Daily Gift in the General Goods section, which is available as part of the Daily Picks.

Silver and Blood Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

1. Focus on the Aspects of your Catalyst for better effectiveness

When selecting a Catalyst, make sure to focus on its key characteristics, or “Aspects.” To maximize efficiency, try to maintain consistency and utilize the same Aspect whenever feasible. Doing so allows you to raise the “Aspect Level” when accumulating multiple Catalysts of the same kind.

Performing this action provides crucial understandings and sparks substantial advancements. However, remember that certain ‘Catalysts’ can only be accessed by particular ‘Vassals’, so make your selections thoughtfully.

2. Prioritize to unlock the Altar of Invocation

The Altar of Invocation is ideal if you’re aiming to acquire SSR Vassals for your team setup. Once unlocked, it allows you to choose from five SSR Vassals available in the Church, Kingdom, and Bloodborne, ensuring that your next drawn SSR will be one of your preferred choices. This feature can help you construct a well-coordinated SSR team effectively.

3. Don’t just focus on Rarity

Having exceptionally rare Vassals is indeed impressive, but a team that leverages faction synergy can be even more effective. By experimenting with various Factions and Classes, you can construct a team from the most advantageous combinations. Ensure your roster maintains good endurance, damage output, and other essential aspects to maximize its potential.

4. Don’t skip any Tasks

It’s important to finish all tasks labeled Daily, Weekly, and Chapter ones because they are rich in valuable resources. By accomplishing these tasks, you’ll have access to a variety of resources such as Heralding materials and other helpful items that will make your progress more seamless.

5. Take part in Events regularly

The game offers a range of activities, many of which provide valuable items and incentives that you should aim to participate in when feasible. For instance, finishing each chapter in the Cycle of Fate series rewards 10 Scrolls up to Chapter 10. Similarly, by accomplishing tasks within Silver and Scarlet, you can earn the SR Empousa, and so forth.

6. Prioritize upgrades and skill enhancement for your strongest Vassals

It’s wiser to channel your efforts and resources primarily on your key team members, who offer the greatest benefits, rather than aimlessly improving skills. When it comes to skill enhancement, give priority to those team members with robust ultimate abilities, healing capabilities, or debuffs. This strategy will enable you to overcome your opponents more effectively.

Final Thoughts

Silver and Blood is an engaging Gothic-themed strategy RPG where you strengthen your vassals, amplify your Blood Power, complete raids, and undertake a variety of tasks and obstacles, receiving ample rewards in return. The captivating narrative and breathtaking anime-style cinematic scenes will surely grab your attention.

Moving forward in the “Threads of Fate”, you’ll encounter increasingly difficult opponents and formidable Bosses. However, with the helpful advice and insightful strategies provided here, you can enjoy a seamless and lucrative gaming journey within Silver and Blood.
