Silo season 2 premieres this year, meaning both seasons will finish before Severance returns
Among the science fiction series like “For All Mankind,” “Dark Matter,” “Invasion,” “Foundation,” “Severance,” and “Silo,” Apple TV+ has emerged as a top destination. The individuals in charge there are undeniably avid science fiction fans, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
Next in line is the second season of “Silo,” a series revolving around a community residing in an underground shelter for generations, allegedly as a result of a destructive war on the earth’s surface. However, it’s intriguing to speculate if there aren’t other reasons behind this. Care to wager? Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson from “Dune”) is set on uncovering the truth.
According to The A.V. Club, the second season of Silo, consisting of ten episodes, is set to debut on November 15, 2023. This marks a relatively short wait for fans, with a new episode being released each week. In comparison to shows such as House of the Dragon, The Rings of Power, and Stranger Things that often take multiple years between seasons, this quick turnaround is noteworthy. Let’s hope for more frequent releases in the future.
“Severance,” Apple’s most notable sci-fi production to date, takes a common, disappointing turn in its storyline. This intriguing series revolves around a team of office employees who have undergone a procedure that prevents them from recalling their workday experiences while at home and vice versa. The show debuted its first season in February 2022, but production on the second season faced challenges including internal issues and industry strikes by actors and writers, leading to a release date of January 17, 2025 – over two and a half years after the premiere of the initial season.
It’s quite a prolonged interval until fresh episodes arrive, considering the exceptional situations. Shows might want to expedite their production process, aiming for a pace similar to that of ‘Silo’.
Currently, I’m eagerly anticipating the next installments of “For All Mankind,” “Invasion,” and “Foundation.” Unfortunately, there seems to be no news on their release dates yet, suggesting that we might need to exercise some patience before we can dive back into these captivating worlds.
