Silent Witness’ new cast additions this week include Line of Duty star
In the recent release of two episodes from Silent Witness, Nikki (Emilia Fox) and Jack (David Caves) find themselves tackling a very unsettling case.
In episodes five and six, the duo delves into an investigation concerning a missing person’s case. However, things take a grisly turn as disconnected limbs, led by a hand discovered in a watery environment, start appearing.
The situation is becoming increasingly unsettling, and we have some notable guest stars adding to the intrigue in this upcoming episode. They include an actor from “Line of Duty,” a renowned figure from “EastEnders,” and others.
Here’s who is in the latest episode of Silent Witness.
Anneika Rose as Lucy
In the recent episode of Silent Witness, tension escalates for Lucy, portrayed by Rose. However, I won’t divulge any spoilers! Apart from her current character, Rose has also appeared in Line of Duty as PC Farida Jatri and Maggie Kean in Shetland.
Tamzin Outhwaite as Sally
In the upcoming episodes of “Silent Witness,” Tamzin Outhwaite assumes the character of tough-talking, straight-shooting senior clerk Sally Alden. Previously, Outhwaite portrayed Mel Owens in “EastEnders” from 1998 to 2019. In 2022, she made a guest appearance on “Death in Paradise,” and her latest role was Sylvie Morgan in the Channel 5 drama series “The Wives.
Cal MacAninch as Barrister David Whitley
MacAninch is well-versed in period dramas, having played roles such as Lord Grantham’s valet Henry Lang in both “Downton Abbey” and “Mr Selfridge”, and the head of fashion Mr Thackeray. Additionally, he has acted alongside Vicky McClure in “Trigger Point” and “Vigil”.
Nicky Goldie as Judge Gibbs
Previously known for her role as Aunt Flo in the period drama “Call the Midwife,” actress Nicky Goldie now appears in “Silent Witness.” This week, she takes on the role of Judge Gibb, presiding over a case that brings Nikki into the picture.
Gloria Obianyo as DS Blake
This week, Obianyo’s DS Blake collaborates with Nikki and Jack to identify the at-large murderer. Some viewers might recall her from her brief appearance in Outlander or her role alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in the crime drama titled Eric.
Also joining episode five and six of Silent Witness are the following:
1. Kerrie Hayes portrays the character Faith, recognized for her work in “Black Mirror,” “Showtrial,” and “The Responder.”
2. Lisa Palfrey plays DI Fisher, famous for appearances in “Sex Education,” “Men Up,” and “Hinterland.”
3. Preslav Shipkaliev takes on the role of Stefan, a familiar face from “The Gentlemen.”
Silent Witness season 28 airs weekly on BBC One on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9pm.
