Sian Welby reveals the real reason she is banned from the Big Brother House
As a seasoned television enthusiast who has witnessed the rise and fall of many reality shows, I must say that the tale of Sian and her unfortunate encounter with the Big Brother set is quite amusing. It seems that even the most experienced production crew can make a blunder or two, especially when working under the pressure of a looming launch.
Sian Welby has finally revealed the real reason she is was banned from the Big Brother House.
ITV personality, aged 37, shared a humorous anecdote with Will Best, the Big Brother presenter, during a conversation on Capital FM, hosted by Jordan North and Chris Stark.
In the course of the conversation, they talked about their experiences on the reality show first, before eventually bringing up the subject of Sian’s accident.
After disclosing her secret about the famous Big Brother house, it was made clear that she hadn’t returned to that location since then.
As an overly enthusiastic fan, I’d rephrase it like this: During a fun-filled visit, I unintentionally cracked a piece of the equipment while goofing around with the radio host, and boy, did the team not appreciate that!
Sian said the mistake happened the day before the set and since the mishap she has not been back.
The blonde beauty told Will: ‘At the time I couldn’t talk about it – I wasn’t allowed.
Last year at this time, many of us received an invitation to visit a house, which turned out to be quite innocent, but unfortunately, I found myself in a considerable amount of difficulty as a result.
On the day preceding the launch, I visited the site accompanied by one of our videographers, Emi.
“We checked every cupboard and even climbed onto the bed. We decided to think creatively and capture a shot from behind, showing me peeking into the wardrobes.
To accomplish this, she needed to step into the closet. Then, I suggested, “Why don’t I take a photo of you in there? It’ll surely bring a smile to our faces some time in the future.
‘As I went to take the picture, she literally fell through the back of it.’
In demonstrating a video to Will, Sian mentioned, “Yesterday was the eve of the launch; as she watched Emi tumble backward, she crashed through the kitchen door, shattering the white cabinet, and uncovered an outdoor space that was gray.
In the video, the producer was seen sprawled out on her back, with a cabinet door balanced above her, as she tried to lift it in order to crawl underneath again.
Sian went on to say, “Just as in The Truman Show, it’s as if everything concealed beyond those closets leads to a massive storage facility.
Sian added that her and her producer Emi ‘got very much told off’ for their innocent mistake.
Will added: Well it’s a sound stage – it’s not a real house guys.’
Will then rubbed salt in the wound by saying: ‘You broke the Big Brother house.’
Afterward, Sian admitted: “Well, I guess you could say that the situation resembled the day prior, considering it was quite late at night. Moreover, there was a sense of urgency from them, as they seemed puzzled about how we were going to complete this task in time for the launch the next day.
Will then asked whether she had ever been asked back to which Sian replied with a very firm ‘no’.
Following the announcement by co-hosts Will and AJ Odudu that managers have upped the ante with extraordinary new assignments for the upcoming series, viewers eagerly await the show’s comeback this coming Sunday.
On October 6, the famous social experiment will make its comeback, featuring fresh housemates, since it was brought back to life by ITV last year.
