Sia reveals she has a third child as she files for divorce from Daniel Bernard
Known for her privacy, the enigmatic singer Sia disclosed on Wednesday, as she was filing for divorce from her second spouse Daniel Bernard, that she now has a third child.
Despite the news of her wedding celebration being announced in May 2023, it was on December 28, 2022 that the Australian artist officially tied the knot with her partner, as confirmed by documents submitted to the Los Angeles County Superior Court. This means they’ve been apart since Tuesday, making their relationship last a total of two years and two months.

The dispute between Jamie King and Kyle Newman regarding the custody of their two sons has been resolved, with Newman being granted primary custody. He has been mandated to undergo a six-month rehabilitation program focusing on substance abuse issues.
Born on March 27, 2024, Somersault Wonder Bernard is noted as a child involved in the dissolution of a marriage. The baby’s gender has yet to be specified. Sia took in two boys who turned 18 in 2019, having aged out of the foster care system; however, these boys are not included in the divorce documents.
The reason given for the split is the usual: irreconcilable differences.
I’m hoping that this separation doesn’t cause as much distress to the singer as her previous divorce did. The 49-year-old parted ways with documentary filmmaker Erik Anders Lang in 2016, and it left her quite shaken, according to what she shared with Zane Lowe in September 2023.
During a particularly challenging and deeply depressing phase, I found myself bedridden for three years,” the singer known as “Unstoppable” explained. It wasn’t until she had recovered from her depression that she began working on her tenth studio album, titled “Reasonable Woman,” which was released in May 2024.
Music
Sia candidly discusses her struggle with depression following her 2016 separation from director Erik Anders Lang, stating, “For three years, I rarely left my bed.
Despite working on her album during the pandemic-induced lockdowns, Sia admitted that she mostly spent her time in bed, hardly moving, with movies and shows playing on the ceiling, essentially entering a state of trance-like relaxation.
Afterward, the artist famously known as “Chandelier” declared that she would head to the residence of producer Jesse Shatkin on her Palm Springs property. There, they effortlessly produced songs like the album’s lead single, “Gimme Love,” which seemed to flow naturally and easily, almost as if they were simply popping out or bursting forth.
