Shockingly low salaries of Channel Seven stars are leaked: 'They would be making more money as a busboy!'

As someone who has spent decades navigating the complex world of television and reality shows, I must say that the revelations about the salaries of Made In Bondi’s cast members are nothing short of shocking. Having seen the evolution of reality TV and its stars’ compensation over the years, it’s disheartening to see such low wages in an era where influencer culture is at its peak.

The staggeringly low salaries of some of Channel Seven‘s newest reality TV stars have been leaked.

Last month, Made In Bondi premiered on the network and attracted several social media influencers eager to kick-start their nationwide television ventures.

Nevertheless, the spin-off series of Made In Chelsea garnered a wide range of reactions from viewers, and it’s now been disclosed that the cast’s wages are surprisingly low.

An exclusive source shared with Daily Mail Australia that the actors received as little as $70 per day, which is a sum that could potentially be surpassed by working at minimum wage.

According to the source, the actors’ salaries for Made In Bondi are more scandalous than the plot twists in the series itself.

‘The core cast are on minimum wage, and I was told that some of the cast were on $70 a day.’

Among the participants’ families, it was reported that some were deeply worried the TV show could tarnish their high-society status, as the relatively small paycheck failed to ease their concerns.

I can’t help but imagine the financial gains he could have if he were just a busboy,” I found myself contemplating. ” Frankly, it seems hardly justifiable to jeopardize the esteem of his beloved family for such a move.

It was asserted that one actor didn’t seem overly enthusiastic about being a television celebrity, and people who know them stated that the low pay was a significant concern or warning sign.

Contrasting sharply, the cast members from Real Housewives of Sydney earn contracts ranging from $30,000 to $50,000.

Initially, it was believed that the cast, who are now well-known, were earning only a small wage when the series debuted in 2017.

At the beginning of her time with “Made In Chelsea”, Louise Thompson revealed that she was initially earning approximately £25 ($50) each day. However, as the show’s popularity grew, her daily wage increased to around £200 ($400).

According to reports, the actors earn approximately $16,000 (£8,000) per season, whereas Spencer Matthews allegedly received $800 (£400) for each episode he appeared in.

Additionally, it was made clear by the source that “Made In Bondi” is a staged production. This means that the scenes shown are pre-planned and scripted, with the actors instructed to observe “The Real Housewives” series in order to grasp the underlying idea.

‘The circumstances will be arranged for you, and you’ll form new friendships. You’ll have opportunities to speak sincerely from your heart, but remember that everything follows a larger script that is being planned out for you.’

It’s been suggested that the makers of Made In Bondi prioritized the cast members’ popularity on social media over whether they genuinely resided in Bondi.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Seven for comment.

In alignment with Seven’s perspective, I am privy to a reality television program that delves into the authentic lives and romantic entanglements of vibrant youth residing in the upscale Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, as well as the globally renowned Bondi beach.

Yet, the series sparked a controversial response among spectators upon disclosure that most of the cast members are not originally from Bondi, nor Sydney.

According to a source who spoke to The Sunday Telegraph, the producers made a great effort to recruit local residents of Bondi with a public profile, but unfortunately, they weren’t very successful in their attempts.

Originally, the producers aimed to enlist Montana Cox (model), Sophie Coote (fashion designer), Bernadette Fahey (Pilates instructor), and Andy El-Bayeh along with his spouse Harriet Williams, who are socialites.

In my pursuit, when my initial attempts didn’t bear fruit, I found myself reaching out to a diverse group comprising influencers and socialites across different regions of Australia instead.

The cast includes Bella Salerno, 23, who spent much of her childhood in Europe; Molly Paradice, 23, from Scone in country NSW and Isabella Cicero, 31, a content creator from Perth.

In the series, we find Pippa Hanan, a 22-year-old resident of Paddington, along with Billy Daniels, a 32-year-old publicist who relocated to Paddington from Perth, and Lachlan McLean, a 27-year-old model hailing from Sydney’s northern beaches.

22-year-old jewelry designer Emma Pillemer is thought to be the only cast member who was actually brought up in Bondi.

According to reports, most of the movie scenes were filmed at Brighton-le-Sands, a location about half an hour away from iconic Bondi Beach.

The residents of Bondi have expressed their displeasure to Yahoo about how the beachside neighborhood is being depicted on the reality program.

According to Jake Leech, it’s incorrect to characterize Bondi solely as a place inhabited by a few self-absorbed, privileged young adults seeking fame. (This version maintains the original message while using simpler and more conversational language.)

According to a resident named Jean, what Bondi doesn’t require is additional media portrayals that perpetuate these unfounded stereotypes [regarding everyone being an influencer here].

‘Although this suburb in Sydney is exceptionally multicultural and boasts a tight-knit community, its unique characteristics often go unacknowledged.’

A third resident quipped: ‘The real elite wouldn’t be caught dead doing this.’
