The Razzie Awards were announced on Tuesday afternoon.
A few entries on the yearly Hollywood “least favorable” list left people stunned because they were expensive productions.
Included among those who experienced shame were Jennifer Lopez in the film “Atlas”, Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in “Folie à Deux”, Dakota Johnson in “Madame Web” (a Marvel movie), Francis Ford Coppola’s production “Megalopolis”, and Dennis Quaid in the Ronald Reagan biopic titled “Reagan”.
The individuals who are this year’s victors will unveil themselves on the eve of the Academy Awards, which is on Saturday, March 1. They will receive a gold statuette that has been sprayed with paint, as stated in the announcement, to take home with them.
The Razzies, also known as the Golden Raspberry Awards, is a humorous award ceremony that celebrates the most dismal achievements in filmmaking.

Established by UCLA film alumni and film industry veterans, John J. B. Wilson and Mo Murphy, the Razzie Awards, known for their satirical yearly event, has been taking place about four decades after the Academy Awards.
According to the Golden Raspberry Foundation, this award motivates popular movie directors and excellent actors to embrace their less-than-perfect performances.
On March 31, 1981, the initial Golden Raspberry Awards took place in a cozy nook of Hollywood’s John J. B. Wilson’s living room, with the purpose of recognizing the films deemed worst during the 1980 movie year.
To date, Sylvester Stallone is the most-awarded actor ever, with 12 awards.
Worst Picture went to Borderlands, Joker: Folie à Deux, Madame Web, Megalopolis and Reagan.
The Worst Actor roster includes Jack Black for Dear Santa, Zachary Levi for Harold and the Purple Crayon, Joaquin Phoenix for Joker: Folie à Deux, Dennis Quaid for Reagan, and Jerry Seinfeld for Unfrosted.
In the Worst Actress category, Cate Blanchett was nominated for Borderlands, Lady Gaga for Joker: Madness Duet, Bryce Dallas Howard for Argylle, Dakota Johnson for Madame Web, and Jennifer Lopez for Atlas.
