Shocking Lawsuit: Ex-Bad Boy President Claims Diddy Coerced Him with a Baseball Bat!

As a diehard fan, I can hardly contain my excitement as I share this thrilling tale: It’s been alleged that Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs, my idol, resorted to an unconventional tactic in his business dealings – wielding a baseball bat. The story goes that he used this symbol of American sport to pressure his trusted right-hand man and co-founder of his record label into relinquishing his shares of the company. The ultimate goal? To establish his mother as the sole owner, an astonishing claim made in a recent lawsuit.

According to Kirk Burrowse, one of the co-founders and former presidents of Bad Boy Entertainment, he was compelled to relinquish his 25% ownership stake in the label to Diddy during a physical altercation that occurred in 1996. DailyMail.com has obtained this information.

55-year-old music magnate is said to have later moved the ownership of the shares to his mother, Janice Smalls, aged 84, who, along with Burrowes, established BBE together four years prior.

In recently obtained legal documents by DailyMail.com, the former music executive, who held positions such as COO and general manager within the company, claims he is currently homeless and has spent extended periods living in various shelters across New York City due to severe financial difficulties.

As a loyal devotee, I find myself compelled to take legal action against Smalls, the predominant shareholder, whom I accuse of orchestrating a longstanding strategy of intimidation, violence, false representations, and financial camouflage.

The court case claims that an incident occurred in May 1996. In this encounter, Sean Combs (also known as Diddy), carrying a baseball bat, accompanied by lawyer Kenneth Meiselas, entered Burrowes’s office located in New York City, which was managed by Bad Boy Entertainment (BBE).

According to a lawsuit filed in New York’s federal court on Wednesday, Sean Combs and Kenneth Meiselas allegedly threatened, intimidated, assaulted, and coerced plaintiff (Burrowes) into surrendering his share certificate for 25 shares of Bad Boy Entertainment, which he was forced to give to Sean Combs.

Under intense fear for his safety, the Plaintiff, visibly emotional with tears flowing, found himself compelled by the situation and unwillingly put his signature on the documents.

Smalls was not in the office the day of the alleged assault, which the filing notes was unusual.

After the event, when Burrowes reached out to Smalls for advice, she feigned ignorance about the actions that Combs and Meiselas were accused of, according to the documents.

Although Smalls wasn’t there during the conflict, Burrowes alleges that Diddy and Meiselas were following Smalls’ instructions to manipulate the situation and carry out a fraudulent transfer without consent.

In addition to deceiving Burrowes out of his legitimate share in BBE, the defendants allegedly intentionally undermined his professional progression.

According to the records, they prevented him from working in the music industry, blocked potential deals, and tarnished his professional image so severely that he remained financially struggling and unable to regain what belonged to him.

According to Burrowes, he believes he’s entitled to millions due to unrealized profits, as he initially invested a sum of $100,000 from his personal funds when Bad Boy Entertainment started up.

He wants compensation for monetary losses, restoration of his 25% equity share, a 15% annual share that includes interest, and an investigation into Bad Boy Entertainment’s revenues and profits since their beginning up until now, conducted by a forensic auditor.

A significant lawsuit further complicates the growing legal troubles that Sean Combs (Diddy) is dealing with, as he remains incarcerated at the bleak Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, anticipating trial on accusations of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.

Since his arrest and detainment in September, the troubled music artist, who’s faced scandal, has consistently had bail requests turned down.

In the early 1990s, when Burrowes first encountered the Combs family, their bond grew into both a personal and professional alliance, as detailed in the filed document.

By that time, Burrowes had earned a reputation as a seasoned expert in the realm of music and entertainment, boasting several decades under his belt.

According to the documents, it was acknowledged that the Plaintiff had a shrewd strategic mind and valuable industry knowledge. In light of this, Sean Combs delegated essential operational and managerial tasks to him. As a result, the Plaintiff played a significant role in co-founding BBE and establishing its fundamental business structure.

The suit further highlights that Burrowes serves as the godfather for Diddy’s eldest son, Justin Combs, who is now 31 years old. They both attended his christening at a Harlem church, demonstrating the strong connection and mutual trust between their families.

In 1992, Andre Harrell, the founder of Uptown Records, let go Combs from his position. According to Burrowes, it was during this time that Combs was dealing with a severe depression, which reportedly included thoughts of suicide, and he helped him find a way out of it.

1997 interview with Billboard saw Diddy acknowledging Kirk Burrowes as the driving force behind Bad Boy’s triumph. He credited Burrowes with turning Bad Boy into a successful, youthful, and black-managed enterprise.

According to Burrowes, he gained the trust of Janice Smalls, handling both her personal and professional matters. He also states that she shared intimate details about her son with him and sought his protection when it was alleged that Combs had mistreated her.

He claims to have seen Combs exhibiting volatile and abusive behavior, such as a violent altercation where he allegedly attacked his mother. Additionally, he suggests that Combs verbally abused Small by using offensive language towards her.

Burrowes shared with DailyMail.com that after the reported incident, “She, as I saw it, was behaving like any concerned mother, attempting to soothe him.

He commented: ‘I was taken aback by the maternal title and the nurturing maternal demeanor she displayed, as well as the resilience she demonstrated while attempting to aid a son facing a challenging predicament.’

At that point, I was completely devoted to assisting Sean and ensuring he recovered. However, my perspective on the matter has since changed.

Reps for Smalls and Combs didn’t instantly reply to our query for a statement from DailyMail.com.

Burrowes, during his time at Bad Boy Entertainment, asserted that Combs had impeded or hindered the signing of a management contract between himself and the iconic R&B artist, Mary J. Blige.

According to the documents submitted, Combs allegedly orchestrated deceitful financial maneuvers, artificially increasing Mary J. Blige’s expenditure records by claiming unwarranted costs, creating fictitious service charges, and purchasing luxuries under misleading circumstances.

Additionally, he points out a noticeable fascination of Diddy towards the iconic rapper Tupac Shakur, asserting that Combs seemed to be deeply ‘infatuated’ with him, even trying to emulate his unique rapping style.

He alleges that Combs billed items belonging to brands like Versace, such as silk shirts and costly accessories, under Blige’s artist account, but incorrectly categorized the expenses.

Beyond designer garments, Burrowes alleges that Combs unlawfully billed the expenses for private jets, presents, and extravagant getaways to other artists’ accounts within the record label.

Following his management takeover, Burrowes asserts that he played a crucial role in helping Blige avoid bankruptcy and recover from her financial hardships.

One of Blige’s most successful songs, Family Affair, was a track that she acquired and arranged with the help of Dr. Dre, a prominent figure in West Coast hip-hop production.

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Blige for comment.

Initially, when Burrowes joined the company back in June 1992, he worked without pay. However, his earnings increased significantly over time. By 1993, his salary was set at $30,000, a figure he considers meager considering Bad Boy’s profits. This amount rose to $60,000 in 1994 and eventually reached $125,000 by 1997.

He says he was also contracted to receive 15 percent of the overall profits while at the label.

He asserts that he turned down job opportunities from various music labels, as he had been promised financial rewards by Combs and Smalls, which he states were never fulfilled according to his allegations.

At Diana Ross’s birthday party in 2019, he claims that Combs and Smalls informed him they intended to rectify their financial matters, yet they failed to follow through on their promise.

He claims in the lawsuit that although he was a significant contributor to Bad Boy Entertainment, he was often sidelined and controlled by Diddy and his mother. Meanwhile, they continued to profit financially from his efforts, leaving him struggling in poverty.

The ex-music manager claims he can back up his accusations with over 1,000 pages of daily logs he kept during his tenure with Combs.

According to him, Combs’s mom has consistently claimed ignorance about his missing stocks and unpaid income, and as recently as 2021, she contacted him regarding a documentary project on the history of Bad Boy Entertainment, seeking his assistance.

According to him, he consented to share records, pictures, and other items in exchange for reimbursing his 25% ownership share and 15% earnings, as the lawsuit claims. However, it is alleged that Janice failed to pay him despite his provision of materials for the documentary, which left him feeling even more exploited and deceived.

Tyrone Blackburn, the lawyer for Burrowes, explained that his client is merely seeking what is fairly due to him according to his earnings.

He asserted that we trust the judicial system to bring the culprits to justice, thereby upholding fairness.

In conversation with DailyMail.com, Burrowes also conveyed a message to Combs’s mother: “Janice Smalls, we built this up as a united family, and I had faith in Sean’s abilities. I too possessed talent, and I fulfilled my part… I protected your family, and you allowed them – along with yourself – to devastate mine. We’ll meet again in court.
