Shocking Discovery: Drugs and Haunting Calendar Found in Gene Hackman’s Mummified Home!

Among Gene‘s offspring, Leslie Anne Hackman previously shared with DailyMail.com, she and her sister Elizabeth Jean had the theory that their potential demise might be attributed to inhalation of harmful gas fumes caused by a possible carbon monoxide leak.
After discovering the couple’s bodies, firefighters from Santa Fe City Fire Department and the New Mexico Gas Company carried out tests on their home to check for carbon monoxide and other harmful substances. Their findings indicated that the surrounding environment was secure.
According to the affidavit, the New Mexico Gas Company went to the house for inspection and was currently carrying out tests on the gas pipes both inside and near the house.

It’s thought that Hackman and his spouse might have passed away around two weeks ago and were discovered in a state of partial mummification. Their bodies appear to have been conserved due to the cold, dry winter weather that Santa Fe typically experiences.
However, the account from the 911 call seems to conflict with the statement in the search warrant affidavit. The affidavit claims that a maintenance worker noted the house’s front door was already open upon his arrival for routine work. But according to the 911 call, it appears the door was closed before emergency services arrived.
An explanation for this discrepancy has not yet been shared by investigators.
In a bathroom closet close to Arakawa, authorities discovered a deceased German shepherd. This information was shared by Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza during a press conference unrelated to this matter, where he mentioned that the dog was kept in a kennel.
Two healthy dogs were found on the property — one inside and one outside.
Mendoza stated, ‘We found no signs suggesting a fight happened, nor any items missing or out of place, which might hint at a crime being committed in the residence.’
